With the questionable circumstances surrounding the intermittent LAG problem,
dont hassle with worring about doing everything exactly correct at exactly the right time and then not get to play.
Do the Math, 145 per game 3 games per day is 435, Redeem from there everyday for one week and see.
Explain your math?
Final table 50% of the time and you make more money and get to play within the forum.

sounds worth it but i havent checked the math for redeeming n prizepool...but who knows.....points should be able to play for 50 freerolls at least now....alot of players supporting and loyal people..."just sayin"
I am not playing in these for the money, however it is a nice bonus. I play in these because I enjoy playing the game and having the same people is kinda cool.
For 580 points ($1 Gift card) you can play 4 tourneys and have the chance to win a lot more money
The only problem I had was I forgot to refresh the page. It really isn't difficult to get into PO free roll. I see what sprocket is saying but like Marly said if you final table and or even win then you got more points and won some money. Poofy makes a good point, sometimes it's not always about money but the love for the game and the people playing it. :)

You really don't have to do the math. There's way more value playing the freerolls and just straight redemptions. One first place is almost almost 4k in points. You get more in return winning a dollar 1/3 times, and that's not hard. If you factor in your playing ability and decide it's not good, then maybe redeeming is better. I know the original post is about not being able to register. I just say keep a points balance to absorb the lag between spending it and getting a refund, and keep trying. If you keep lagging, dunno what to tell you. Try IE with no plug ins, but I haven't had problems with any browser registering.

I want to have fun in playing the freerolls and in addition I win more money by playing them than in redeeming the points.
In my opinion tourneys are more profitable 145*4=580=1$ at carbon or 4 tourneys in wich if you get to the final table at least 2 times and at the very least get only 10th place you have made your money.

My first attempt, I, like other newbies, didn't make it in. Since that time, I've only missed 1 game for being late.
What I find that works for me is to open the carbon client window, and click on "register" for the game, leaving that open but minimize it so it only takes up half of my screen. I then open PokerOwned, and click on the opt in button for the tourney, which takes you to the 2nd page, not the PO home page! (this page is also the page where you can do the extra stuff, donkey, Last longer betting (LLB) and the fantasy poker), and I also minimize this window down to half the screen. I'll then wait until about 14 minutes before the start time, and refresh this page, ONLY ONCE like it tells you in RED font, and then I verify that the countdown to "release password" time is about 23-25 seconds before what's showing on Carbon for the actual start time . (release time is on the second page, not PO\'s homepage that has the forum and games listed, but the one that it takes you too, after clicking on the opt in. It works better for me this way and I hope it might help others. Good luck!

I\'ve only redeemed for now. But, w/ the other bonus\' such as back to back and kill the sneaks, it may be mathematically correct to play the FR\'s. You\'d have to do a math equation for the $25 split among the field and get a value for each FR and then see if this is higher than the redeem value. I don\'t think it is from that pov, but if you factor in the other promos, it may be positive EV.
Like written before you can play 4 tourneys for 580 points which equals to $1 redeem. I earned much more in participating in the freerolls than I would have by redeeming points. And most important: it makes fun playing them.
