Anyone on here play chess seriously/competitively? A lot of professional and competitive chess players play poker, but i dont know how much of it goes the other way around.

and yes i know this section is meant for video games but its still a game so i put it here

My father was a 2100 player and the youngest member of the Ukrainian chess team when he was a boy. I've picked some stuff from him, but I'm mediocre at best.

Chess is basically a right of passage in my family.... Chess will be one those games that will live on for hundreds of years with the same rules. As where many other games will adapt and change. There is something comforting about this!
