I play holdem only, never tried Omaha, it looks to complicated. Is Omaha something i should consider? Thanks.

Omaha is where graduates of hold-em end up. Most of the biggest cash games are now PLO. NLHE is still king for MTTs, but for ring games the easiest and loosest action can be found in PLO.
It is fun and something else to play.
You have the choice between omaha and omaha hi/low.
with omaha hi/low you have to watch everything
its not complicated, its a game that used to require a lot of skill and unfortunately has become home of the donks they like it cuz they can chase chase chase
very interesting game indeed, but I feel azreal is right regarding the donks...
i like the hi lo omaha but so true many donks there but they are all over
You should play omaha, when You will be better in holdem :D
I think IWASLION sums it up best on what PLO has become and the progression it is from NLHE.
where do you guys play that there are alot of donks.
If you have a site like juicy/lock that pays rakeback on dealt method i prefer omaha over holdem... you still get same donk beats in both from time to time but extra larger pots helps me in my bonus chasing goals. I am never trying to take someone elses money, only the house, but if they want to give it to me then i will glady accept.
im not a lil interested in learning omaha, always only enjoyed holdem, 90% or more of games r holdem..... so, sorry but, fuck omaha..... :D
I think maybe I will try more omaha, mostly because im bored of regular.
I'm always lost points while trying Omaha. Same as today, have second nuts, but it is not enough :( can you fold 2nd nuts for pot bet ? NEVER, but how should I win ... waiting for NUTs each time? It is not worthy for me ...
I don\'t think it takes any more skill than holdem, nor is it really more complicate, per se. It\'s really that there are more ways a given hand can win and it\'s a bit harder to estimate your odds. That is, it\'s not more complicated because figuring your odds works the same way as in holdem, but the depth involved is greater. That said, I don\'t usually play Omaha because my mind is simple, so I have enough trouble keeping up with the odds in holdem. But I hear there is money to be made in O if you can stand the donk variance over the long term.
Omaha provides more action than some of the nitty holdem cash games
Omaha has weaker players in general.....BUT unfortunately the variance is higher. High stakes players frequently experience 1-4 million upswings and downswings
para el omaha se me hace mas dificil q el holdem ,,, en verdad las pocas veces q lo e jugado no me llama mucho la atencion , el holdem es mas emocionante , gracias
One thing about Omaha.... If you don't have the nuts, and there are two other players still in the pot. You should consider folding.
i like omaha. creates alot of action and lets me play fairly loose. although when you think you have the nuts sometimes you can be mistaken
i play because i like to give all my money away to other people.
Omaha is definitely the first game a Holdem only player should branch out to if they want to play more than just Holdem. There is more action and higher variance in Omaha, but it is a definitely a fun game to play and when played right is very profitable.
omaha is just like holdem only difference is that you get 4 cards and must make your 5 card hand with 2 of your hand and 3 on table
I like to play Omaha. You should try HORSE. Its a variety of all the games. One of my favorites.
I like to pick up an Omaha game about once a week just to change it up. Hi/Low is usually a great game to start with for a beginner!

I actually like Omaha H/L. If you play it long enough, you can tell which hands will almost guarantee you some of the pot.
Only thing I don't like is people that don't know how to play it and think you should bet like in Holdem. Since the chance of splitting a pot with someone else is high, then you don't want to push people out with over betting. With the split pot structure, you want to keep as many people in with a winning hand as possible. Otherwise I have split way to many pots with just me and another player who pushed everyone else out. Ticks me off. The Omaha and Omaha H/L book from TJ Cloutier is excxellent.
Omaha is a great game with lots of card combinations you can play
I personally fee Omaha involves mere gambling than Holdm b/c it is more difficult to predict your hand strenght a lot of times
yes omaha is a tuff game to play at times but is fun an is more of a gamble
what is the best starting hand?
Omaha is very good i like play but had much flush in the hands
Omaha is the bomb...be very careful with PLO8 you can lose everything quick...
Well, if you get A234, for one thing, and the cards on the board are all low, with one of them being a 5, you are guaranteed some of the pot in H/L. In H/L, you should strive to play only those hands that have a chance at high and low, but if you have a good low hand and at least 3 lows on table, then you need to play it.
Point was you may not sweep the pot, but you can tell which hands will get you some of it.
i play all omaha,stud,razz,badugi,2-7,5 card draw.all can improve u games.
I would say that you should try the free rolls to try and get the hang of it. I would never play for real money. I have played hundreds of thousands of hand at NL hold em. I have tried three or four free rolls and got dominated in every one of them. I would not try with real money yet. The game is very interesting though. I am going to continue to play to try to get the hang of it. I enjoy.
it s very interisti say thatng.omaha h/l offers more chances to play.I can say that I prefer Omaha.
I find holdem is so boring, i need to play mixed games to enjoy myself
