It took me a long time to realize that if I couldn't beat the lowest stake, I was wasting even more money playing higher. If your goal is to move up fast that's fine, just set some guidelines. For example move up when you reach 30 buyins at the next stake then take a 10 buyin shot at that stake, if you blow 10 buyins move back down until you have 30 buy ins again at the next highest stake. That is just an example, run the process through your mind and do what makes sense or better yet post it and ask for comments for and against it then decide what you want to do.

I always liked heads up cash games. Seems as though you will often run into loose players often killing time waiting for tourneys.

Lot of good tips and info. There have been times where i went on tilt over the last two weeks and my b.r. was as low as 50$ but now im maintaining at 130$ by playing the 2$ hyper turbos, some small 1$-2$ mtts, and mostly avoiding the cash games for now just because at my age im not good with dealing w/ the swings of cash games.... im still really immature and a bad beat or two can send me off on tilt to the .25/50c tables, well on my way to going broke.... But on Carbon i like to try to play those step sngs too, seems interesting to me that you can turn 1$ into 250$ lmao, with a lot of grinding that is. But i know as long as i keep playing solid poker and avoid the cash games/tilting ill be good. There last week i went deep in at least 1 tourney a day so i proved to myself i can do it. Just gotta put the time in to get the big results im yearning for.
