What cards are good to shove all-in when you're short stack with 3-5 BB?
Alot of that depends on your position. Late position, I would have to say, any Ax and any pairs. Early pos. I would probably keep a tight range till you get into a late position.
Hi
what Rellik419 is almost right but i will check also that what is the level and if ante is there thn any position any where i ll go all with Ax and any paint because ante is killing ur stack which already doesnt ve any fold equity at all.
i dont let myself get that low
10 bbs and ill call an alin with any pair and suited cons
not A rag
becos oftern your up againts a big ace
and ive shove late pos in an unrasied pot
yea I agree I usually try not to get down to 3-5 BB prefer 8 or higher myself where your stack can still be relevant against others
late position pretty much any2 with 3-5bb. early wanna be tight as your going to get called super light..
That short any two! Especialy if there are antes.
Sometimes, suited connectors are the way to go if you've been getting dealt crap.
any two, not that it really matters tho since ur gettin called by ATC as well since u have no FE
Any pair any ace.. you should have been all=in when you first got under 10 Big blinds

hat does it mark the start so you can get and how to get it?
7 2 o...........
yup good tips. love playin tourneys so much fun :)
at this point any 2 cards!! Hopefully you're holding an Ace when you do.
Definitely ATC at that stack size.
Yeah, I wouldn't let yourself get down so low to 4-5 BB. You want to be shoving with A-x, pairs, suited connectors, face cards when you are <10BB, otherwise your double up won't really help you at all.
A player sitting in late position who uses the "in turn" check/fold button is usually weak.
I'd shove with any ace, but really you just have to look at your hand and decide what's best, and if you would get a better opportunity to make a move.
Muito bom ^^... !!
lol
Forgot that one,,,Suited connectors are also a hand to shove SSed.
any two, shove your chips, close eyes, make the cross motion over chest, open eyes, collect chips! - easy peasy.
<> crap he flushed out and your chips down the drain> :( or even worse house ;) damn witches
yes it depends on position so much.. When you have 5 BB dont play weak ace off suited out of position, try to play suited connected cards, pairs, and ofcourse if you will be lucky AQ, AJ etc...
my is that i play tougt play in beginning and when tournament is in deeb i play more hands if i had stacks :)
play tight, wait for hands, but you can play like 89, 78, etc
two high cards, 10 Q, 10 K , JK those kinda cards will giv u much better odds than like pair of fives. A lot of people that call u off have like A 7 so u wanna eliminate that 7 and have a 2 to 1 favour
fazzexpress thats not true.. if you have low pair like 55 and opponent have 2 overcards like KJ and its not suited.. you have better odds than him... but its very close, like 53%-47%
At $140 or 28 BB, you can't steal even if you did raise bigger.
I havent had a chance to play in a tournament yet but find this info useful Thanks!
I sat down at a table and ran into a weird situation where a few people limped in, and this guy raises to just $15 with (supposedly) AK. He was on a short stack, only about $140 total. Is there something I'm missing about this that turns it into a good play, like, ever? He got like, five callers as a result. I just can't really think of how this could be a good play with AK, but maybe things change when you're on a short stack. For what it's worth, the flop came 44K with two hearts, everyone checked to him and he shoved 125 into around 90 or so. I don't have much experience with Short Stack strategy so I'm not sure whether this is a smart play, or a common one I should be on the lookout for, or even one I should ever employ myself (though I don't short stack, so if that has something to do with this being a smart play then I guess that's out).

if you are in the position of having only 3-5 BBs then i hope its cause u were beat in a big pot... as opposed to blinding away, a totally different issue.
but in that case really any 2.. obv facecards preferred or a pair. but 3-5 blinds is REALLY little and anyone will call.. but it also depends on alot of factors. like how deep in the tourny, their stack size relative to the blinds, how tight the othe rplayers are, your position, and your image.. and maybe few others..
but honestly.. 3-5 blinds = any two cards.. in my opinion... i try to make sure im never that low in chips... once u get to around 20 blinds or so you should start makin moves. 20bbs is considered short stack.
qualquer par,ou AS,K,Q com quaiquer outras
why do some peeps shove with 20bb or more with ak, just curious..ak is solid, but make a nice raise and play post flop play, so if you need to fold ak then fold so you can live to play another hand..just sayin
Should def never get that low on BB. But at this point any two cards in position are good. You need a double up or two to even be able to have any hand selection
it would be real hard to say why people do what they do playing poker for some its just action and fun and than you grow up personally what i see is usually people dont bet unless they have something so my advise is after flop if you dont have a part of it fold it dont be married to it
I don't know how many times I have been beat in the first few hands of an online tourney with AA, KK or QQ by a straight or 2 pair. I just quit doing it and will not go all in before the flop...ever
ai like to play 2$ rebuy
