Understanding the importance of position and that it trumps what you have for cards when you get deep in tournies. With that said having a hand is also good. :) The other one is getting married to a hand. JJ etc. looks good pre-flop, but in the back of your mind you have to be thinking if things flop unfavorable I must let this go.

yes falling in love with your hand is dangerous ~ even though i know J's 2 come in threes ~ not always the case , been tryen to pound this one down myself ~ live to play another hand ~ wait for it !
I suck though so wait for a real playas point of view :)

These all sound like good things to avoid.

poker is one big mistake. get used to it.

hurry is a very big mistake , you start loosing and u wanaa get back quickly and probs lose moore

Becoming your bookies bitch

Knowing when to value bet or when to just check because you have showdown value is huge.
Overplaying pocket pairs. (Most of the time you're flipping at best)
Risking too much with hands you're unsure about.
Bankroll management.

This list can go on and on and on and... lol

I think one of my biggest problems right now is learning how to hold onto a big stack once I get it.

Overplaying hands and thinking top pair is the nuts because it rarely is. Most fish struggle to fold top pair or overpairs. Or calling with the 2nd or 3rd nuts to a river raise against a player who is not capable of turning made hands into bluffs. And even if he is bluffing like 10% of the time over the long term its not a profitable call. What distinguishes a loosing from a winning player is that winning player loose less from their 2nd best hands and loosing players go broke.

That's easier said than done

sometimes when i hurry iw in a lot, but happens to lose too

Accidentally clicking the wrong button or typing in a wrong amount to bet or raise then clicking the button.

The biggest bankroll mistake is to play games with too high a limit.

the biggest poker playing mistake is too play too many hands.

The reason is the same for both mistakes. All other mistakes come later.

Around here? New or old, most NEVER make ANY mistakes.... it's all just a rigged sites fault.
