my name is petrescu sorin.Im new here. im 19 years old and took up poker about 2 years ago. i read one book about poker by phill helmuth my poker idol ....not impressed can anyone recomend me some basic good books to start with . ty very much.

Well I have been told that books will kinda screw you up, and I have had a teacher helping me. Google best book for whatever style you play.

i personally have read super system and ace on the river, i don't really think you need to read poker books though....

your prob. better off finding a good video site... like deuces cracked or run it once... they have a monthly fee but i find them 10 times more helpful than books!!

depends on how you play poker variations. For players MTT's different than the Casch. I was learning poker from: Harrington on Hold'em. Good luck.
