Btw he had 4,700.
I just limp or call hoping to flop a set and if i dont i normally just check fold.
foooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooll llllllllllllllllldddddddddddddddddd xD
OMG that is an easy fold for me, 77 is a gamble with any 2 over cards he has
Depends on the circumstances. Things to consider:
Opponents Hands Played (VPIP %) (How active/aggressive they are)
Your table image (what your opponent thinks of you etc.)
I would most likely fold though.
Thats a fold, ur objective was to see a flop for a set. If u can't see the flop reasonably cheap then its insta fold. Once in a long while you can raise with a pp to mix it up but for most part you should be just trying to see a flop cheaply or for no more then 3x bb. Your above situation is fold, I betting your dominated big time.
I created a rule for myself a long time ago in online poker. The rule is, where there is one pp there is another. It has worked and has held true to me to this day. So if you get dealt a pp its more then safe to assume there is another pp in someones hole cards at your table. With 77 after your raise he reraises like that I would bet he has 1010 or above or a10 or above giving him 2 overs at least. Of course this is just based off the information you gave. I am not there seeing how he is playing. If he is playing every hand and extremely loose like that ect ect lots of variables can change how you decide to play the hand. But basic 101 poker here says fold all over it.
In your example I would fold after you reraised and he shoved puting you all in. I would have to assume he had a better pocket pair then you did. Why did you reraise to 600 in the first place with a pair of 7's. It seems like it would have been better to either fold, or shove at that point.
agree
Would say the re-raise was the information you looked for on the raise. Sucks to got out or lose your stack when it is played like that and has a monster hand. Two overs your slightly ahead but a bigger pockets has you crushed.
Fold. By the way, you shouldn't have re-raised the 600, you should have just called the initial raise and hope you hit the set.
Fold. Should just call and go from there. You dont have to have a set to continue. Just reevaluate on flop or turn. No point in raising to 600 since you can't really call a shove or play it comfortably post flop.
Fold for sure.
i would plrooly only risk a small amount of chips with a low pair.
Yeah i think alot have the right idea here. No reason to raise with 7's but sadly there are alot of people that will push trash like that.
Like already said you want to limp and try hitting a set, too many overs beat you if they hit the board. Once he reraised you its a easy snap fold, no since in gambling with a mid pair like that.
If I don't have a read on the guy I fold. If he's shoved 5 times already that early in the tournament, I may well call.
But I would have limped, not raised with 77 in that position.
fold yo mostly get baeten with that hand
like whorebot said your looking to get a set on the flop, and trying to get a set.. so you can get yourself in position to stack the other player at 25/50 blinds with a 4,500 stack theres no reason to reraise 77 from 150 to 600 lol.
i would have folded after the first hand
At best your in a race. Fold to early in tourney if you had a short stack you;d call but u didnt
no matter what you only had a pair of sevens do you really need help to figure this one out really
if i have a low pocket pair i just call to have the set or check the flop
Fold, Unless you want to flip, and it may not even be a flip. He could have a higher pair.
most of the time i limp in late position fold in early position
I can win with 2 7 against aces every hand
more im portantly, i can play a low pocket pair like they are royal flushed
old players that you have from behind to act depends and if they put you all in aim that playes class is
i would of limped meaning just flat calling his raise i mean the blinds are only 25/50 and probably 7-10 min blinds, really no reason to make a tricky play here ,just flop a set and rape him as much as u can,to do a re 4 bet,i think its the wrong way to play it,
depends upon the table stacks, the way you been playing previously, your bankroll, your confidence or lack there of, the position you are in and what you are trying to get out the tourney....
OMG that is an easy fold for me, I would most likely fold though.
In any decent tourney you would fold them to any raise, having said that....there aren't too many decent online tourneys so you have to make your own read on the player betting!!
through my experience i've found that the best thing to do is just fold if ur not getting incredible pot odds to call...if you can see a flop for cheap, its worth set mining, otherwise its not safe...i used 2 jam with most pp's preflop but i've realized that doesnt work out too well usually...set mining is the way to go but only as long as the odds are there
Limp and pray!
:cool:Thats a fold, ur objective was to see a flop for a set
Well it looks like everyone covered everything. I think the most important factor is, how was he playing previous to this hand. Tight, Loose, did he maybe lose a big hand in the last 5 hands. Alot of dynamics. I can't say it would be an instant fold. What has his other showdowns looked like? I will take 77 if I think he is trying to push with A 10. I don't care what they say about overs, totally overrated. Sometimes even the buy-in has to come into question. Are you in a 100k GTD or something small like a $2 rebuy? I don't know. More info please next time.
shuda just called unless your prepared to call off your whole stack. by reraising in this situation you shud be prepared to jam it in. always think before you make a move and about the possible outcomes of making that move, dont just make a move blindly and youll avoid putting yourself in tricky spots
i cant seem to let a pocket pair threes go
