If you win the satellite but can't play the tourney, maybe don't play the satellite. But if you have good options on what to do with that, then go for it.

Satellites are the way to go when you want to get into a big tournament, but I always seem to get donked out of them around the bubble.

always play if you think you can crush the sat. I do this in tampa all the time. house may give you cash value if you cant make it.

The reason I asked was because I wasn't for sure what would be a better value for a 2 hour drive.... a satellite for 45 or a deep stack regular tourney for 65. I chose the deep stack, but I like getting opinions from people who get to play more than I do.

I wouldn't risk it but you could always sell the 125 tourney ticket to someone at the casino it's not that hard to find someone
