How much of your bankroll are you willing to put up in a cash game and why?
As much as I can afford to lose that I won't feel in the morning.
Why? Because I only play for fun :)
I usually take with me 1/30 or 1/40 of my bankroll. For example if I have 30$ i go to the tables with 1$ for each. In this way you don't lose too much if you are in tilt or simply luck isn't with you today=)
About under $5 and see what i can build from there.
i would be willing to use half :)
I will usually use about half although they say to use only about 2 percent!
I play online only..Would love to play live..Does anyone know any casinos near Tennessee that have decent ring games or tournaments?
general rule is 20 buy in,if you play 100 big blinds deep 2000 bb i mean
I usually take recommended safe,it's just 20 times the full buy-in
I don't think I would buy in for more than 10% of my bankroll unless I only had like 3 dollars in my account - in that case I would probably keep playing freerolls. I usually stick to freerolls anyway though.
never more than a 15% of the bankroll
Well I would have to say twenty five cents.Because its all I have! lol
yeah, i refuse 2 ever deposit money again, so i just keep playin freerolls & small stakes. i'm horrible at bankroll mngmt tho. i always win sum money & move up 2 fast. u hit a bad run or sum bad beats & the whole thing u've taken a while 2 build up is gone just like that.
I am willing to make $ 10. Not much, but no less clear and they'll multiply.
the biggest buy in ive ever played in is 20 where i had 100 dollars so that was 20% but i usually dont do more then 10% and i stick to smaller games so i have a better chance i dont try those big tournys
10% of my bank, should always be cautious, and if luck is not with a
WELL I put alot more than I am willing to really. I nearly always go broke on cash tables. An ideal sum for me would be 5% of my bankroll and leave when I double ( as an approximation to Chris Fergusons Strategy in his $0 - $10000 challenge)
I am just not disciplined enough to avoid tilt tho... :( maybe 1 day
i put 5 $ on 500K tournament in Full tilt , freerolls and what - NOTHING
i need to learn bankroll management because every time i deposit somewhere i win some then get greedy and lose it all quick
I usually do full buy-in in those cash game.
Take $200 max in those.
$1/$2
20 times seems about rigth to me
I like to play 5% of my banckroll at one table , but i usualy play 4 table so 20% of my banckroll .
usally i use 2%
Im a big time Gambler so i aint scared to play with all the money i have which usually isnt much lol. But seriously im horrible at bankroll management and i think i really need help..But o well at the same time i like being ruthless and the thrill of playing with all your money.
this is my biggest down fall in poker cause i like to jump limits everytime i win money and tend to get sucked out once and my bankroll is gone a smart player will only bring in 2 percent if i did this i probally do really well at online poker!
if effective at all, but 10% do not have to risk much
no 25 buy ins
according to pokerstrategy
good players dont need bankroll managment and that, but we ...
I would try and say something smart about bankroll management here but I dont seem to be doing so well with the concept as of late. I think like it was previously stated, whatever you can lose and not have that impending sense of doom once you\'ve lost it is good.
I usually try to keep it to 25% of my bankroll, although it is usually so that freerolls are my best bet. LOL.
I would put into the cash game %20 of my bankroll, but thats because I am a tight player and know when to bet
thx
the recommended percentage of your bankroll that you should play with is only 5% that way varience wont hit you hard and when you win a couple you will exceed the couple you lost... remember 5%!! not 25% or 20% lol only 5% but thats if you got enough for only 5% lol if you got $5 you havnt got much choice really lol
this is fun , enormous situation :0
what is going on here ?
everyone needs good bankroll management idk what u guys r talking about
is easy to talk about bankroll management lol , but hard to do and follow it
i think the correct answer would be 1/50th of your stack.. i think
