what was the fist poker site where you could play online?
I played at Pokerroom.com I think in 1999 or 2000. No download. Java window. Only limit. Maybe 4 tournaments a day.
Even then people complained that it was rigged. I have never played at a site that people didn't claim it is rigged. Wish I got a t-shirt.
Paradise Poker....LOL....Seems like lifetimes ago now:) I remember that the tables looked like something from an atari game...LOL
No wonder I am so bad at poker...you all been playing since the cave man day...my first site was pokerstars in 2009...oct...
wow, that is a long time ago. and i think the no download is pretty cool
I was wondering something similar, what is the name of the Nevada residents site that recently came out.
I have been playing off and on for a while but there was a huge change in early 2000's. The style of play in my opinion really changed. It really left me in the dust. I am picking it up again but I have a lot of learning to do.

pokeroom was my first site too, i took down a 5.50 rebuy turny there for 1289 and my friends mom won over 200k in there casino over 2 years

Planet Poker was indeed first.

PokerStars. I was working at a hotel at that time and had seen some advertisements watching espn late night and decided to deposit a few dollars. This is the first time I've actually taken it seriously and have tried to study the game.
Actually this is the first site I have really played at, tried a few different games on Facebook but never got into it much, then Treeman got me on here and now I am hooked, LMFAO!! But he has abandoned me to deal with things all by myself!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
partypoker was the first site that really took off and was the one to play. idk which site was first to launch though.
The first poker site that I played on was party poker. It was about 13 years ago and when I didn't know nothing about playing poker. I had just started out and me and a friend split a deposit, 50 each. We got a bunch of beer and played all night and then deposited again the next weekend. We were the type of players we see now where we lick our chops. Fish I think is the right word hahaha. Good luck on the felts!
I started playing poker online at Pogo.com, wasn't for real money. Then there was a site called " something felt" no download there and you play a tourney with play money to win decks of personalized playing cards.I won at least 5 decks :)
The first time i ever saw online poker, i saw my cousin playing party poker lol..
I was hesitant for a long time to play online because I had my doubts, and I rely heavily on reads. That's why it's nice to have a site like this to build a bankroll with no risk involved.
ps go hawks
Planet Poker. Or Party Poker. Just remember sitting there in 2003 firing away and getting paid, real cash, instantly to your bank account. Too bad I was the biggest fish back then. However, some would say I am still that same dumb fish.

I first played pokerstars and stuck with it until black Friday. I also did ub, ftp, party poker, and wpt.

heres an old one, Dynamite Poker!! it was the bomb back in the day!! the had 4 freerolls a day with only 150 spots per tourney, and top 25 cashed!
Like a few others I saw my first poker site was Pokerroom. And I loved them and I never thought they were rigged. I was new to poker and I played super tight back then and pretty much only played the $5 ten-man sng's and an occasional multi-table tourney. I bet I made a hundred dollars a week four eight months straight. I also remember a sister site of their's (Hollywood poker, or at tleast they used the same software) that stuck around in the US market long after pokerroom left.
