Carbon VIP Tiers

Can someone explain the VIP tier system to me for Carbon? Do I need to make 500 VIP points per month to stay at a certain vip tier or once you get to a tier do you keep it forever? Thanks

I think that's right. 500 each month..but could be wrong.
