IMO to win the "best or "most" online in a tournament is to play and towards the end of the tourney , i'd say when 2-4 tables are left, step on gas and go for the hugee blinds because stealing a few blinds is critical in late stages of tourneys like that. I have won some decent online tourneys( 100k gtd, few 50k gtd, ect) and I am average poker player so you pretty much have to play good poker, not run bad and of course you gotta win those key "flips" and 60/40s. If you want to win, keep it in you mid to play to win, not to just cash ITM .Then as time goes along you will notice your chart look better and better. Good luck at the tables!!!
