For the first time ever the Aussie Millions $10k Main Event will be part of a major poker tour.
The biggest tournament in the southern hemisphere, which takes place exclusively at the Crown Casino in Melbourne, will become a stop on PokerStars Asia Pacific Poker Tour.
?The Aussie Millions is regarded as one of the marquee poker events globally and by aligning with the biggest poker tour in the region, the Asia Pacific Poker Tour, will further guarantee the event?s success in the coming years,? said Crown Resorts CEO Xavier Walsh.
Joining forces with the APPT could benefit both companies as the number of qualifiers for the Aussie Millions will likely increase while the APPT will get even more exposure.
The APPT is currently in its seventh season with events across Asia including South Korea, Macau, New Zealand, Philippines and Australia.
