The one way to stop scammers is to banned them.

All you are doing is adding in language that says "If you trade with PayPal you are on your own and PokerOwned won't do anything to pursue the scammers"

yeah cuz it means they are less likely to try and get a deal that they know is too good to be true, they do it now cuz they think to themselves "its ok zb will cover me if it goes tits up"

if people had to list there poker names, it gives a way to search and do history on them,

I am only part way through this thread, but I can attest that there is a member here I have stopped 4 or 5 of their accounts in 2 weeks of them being banned and they had new names on the poker sites to play in our games, that easy.

Here's the biggest problem with these scams...

A lot of people have no qualms about violating a poker skin's TOC by creating multiple names, because they have no intent to cash out - their intent is to take their profit and sell it to someone for paypal.

The marketplace works well for trades that involve PO currency - should we be documenting every paypal purchase on the site?

infractions should be given to anyone mentioning paypal, dealing with a trade, in the chatbox or in a thread.
so many infraction results i a temp ban, with perma ban consideration.

if people PM and bubble about paypal, its on them

but i think PO should be firmly against paypal n poker trading
