Ya and when that has been done everyone cries to let them back to they can be repaid, we are damned if we do and damned if we don't.
Also most members on other forums avoid dealing with known shady members, I guess we are in a class of our own.

and yes, members on other forums have much less opportunity to get scammed, as banning scammers, and calling scammers out is a high priority on other forums

This is the ONLY Poker forum that works hard to eliminate all scamming, when people GO OUTSIDE OF THE SYSTEM THAT IS DESIGNED TO PROTECT THEM THEY ARE ON THEIR OWN.

I have done numerous upgrades, spent time and money doing whatever I can to weed out scammers.

Now, with that said, I do take action against scammers, you can't always see it, but it happens. My #1 priority is to make the person that GOT scammed whole and repaid. I sometimes talk to the person who did the scamming, I tell them to repay their debts, and they can come back.


What's better Poke? Tell me? Ban the scammer forever, or try and recover the funds to the person that got scammed?



Just ban them you say? Proxy servers are very very hard to stop. I typically like to know where the scammers are instead of banning them and trying to find them later so I can keep an eye on them.


So bottom line, enough with the scammer, mods aren't doing their job crap

i made a thread this morning, how to put an end to scamming.

it would work.

and since your concern is getting people paid back... how bout not letting people trade unless its to pay back?

I can personally attest to this, PO admin does an excellent job of recovering any funds that are owed. I know this by personal experience.

i also metioned the LOL "system" in my thread as well

you could restrict there market place access, it is possible, im sure whoever got scammed would like payment in one form or another and with points you or poof can easily take the points out of one account and place them in another, allowing them back to pay there debts is one thing, allowing them full access so they can scam again is quite another

The problem is, its so admin intensive to track down all scams and scammers.. Then there's 2 sides to every story.. Who's version is correct? I paid you, no you didn't yes I did.. Here's proof.. That screenshot is faked, no its not, yes it is.

well if its too much work to make sure that pokerowned members money is safe your only other option is to ban trading altogether :|
