A donkey is just about as bad as a fish, but not as bad; the only real difference is if the donkey is dealt...uh, for example, in a 5-seated room, here is just one possible scenario (happens all too frequently):
DONKEY IS DEALT: A-2 os
FISH IS DEALT: 3-5 os
OTHER 3 PLAYERS: KK, QQ, AK
THE FLOP: 6-7-9
Every one calls. Donkey Raises.
4th-Street: J
Everyone checks & calls. Donkey & Fish go all-in. Everyone else, of course calls the all-in.
RIVER: A
Everyone is now all-in.
DONKEY WINS!
That's about what a donkey does..but he/she doesn't just do it for that one hand; they do it for ALL their hands, every game, every time! They'll either, donk out (hence the name) or go on to make the FT. You can not change the way a donkey plays--you must know your donkey in order to whack your donkey (no pun intended).
"You can lead a donkey to the table, but you can't make him fold"
donkeys don't think, they have no brains when it comes to poker

The deeper the pocket of the donkey, the worse the donkey.
