You played it fine. You had a good flop for your bb hand. After the turn you're goal was to get all your chips in the middle one way or another, I'm not sure how you got there makes much difference in this situation. Since nobody had shown any strength before the flop, there wasn't any reason to think you're hand was behind after the flop. 99+ should have raised pre-flop.

I actually like the trap check on the turn, because at that point your goal is to extract as many chips as possible from your opponent, you just got unlucky. Variance is a bitch.
