Do You Think It Is Right For Players To Be skype ing While Playing a Game Telling Each Other There Cards ??????????????????????????????????
Obviously not fair. As if 2 people are sharing their hands that means that those 2 people have more information available to them about the hand in progress than the rest of the table. So if 2 people are colluding to give themselves an advantage over the rest of the table then its without doubt unfair.
The moral question answers itself. Colluding and cheating is without a doubt not moral
Well Maybe I am jumping the gun but when sitting at a table and one guy says to the other hey jump on skype My Mind starts To wonder Are they sharing cards ?? Or Hell They might be blowing each other kisses lol WHO KNOWS
Sadly this happens all the time and there is not much that can be done about it. It is a bad part of online poker. :(
Its hard to know their exact reasons for going on skype. Theres a good chance they might just be good friends who prefer to talk on private.
Well to be fair they may not be. I have a group of ppl from another forum that when we could all play on stars, we would all pony up a buck for a last longer bet and a bunch of us would jump into a 90 player sng. We would have up to 10 ppl on msn group chat and not one of us would ever share cards, or play different against each other. It was just side chat for when folding and to shoot the crap.
Maybe they are just having some cyber sex and dont want everyone to know.
I will say that this is a good indicator that there is something fishy going on. I would at least report to Zab what you observed just to have it out there in case it comes in handy in the future. It is possible the two players are doing something fishy at Carbon and Carbon can go back to review the two players hand histories for collusion.
not fair one bit...it keep 2 players mroe of an advantage becuase instead of knowing 2 cards you know 4 that were dealt, giving you better of a idea how many outs are left and shit.....they should be banned whoever does it
When kaos was here and we were playin the freerolls he would often tell me to jump on msn to chat. I would but we never colluded. Im not saying these people werent but its not a given that they have.
Also i got the impression reading this that it wasnt about this happening in a PO freeroll.
its bullshit becasue we all know its happening when we play online, theres nothing you can do....its guarenteed to happen were you will find 2 or more player working together either in a SNG or cash table
we legit players just got to do are best to find them and report collusion to support and they will get banned
I still say there were just naked and wanted to have some fun
I remember on full tilt there was a few occasions where 2 players from here reached final 3 in some freerolls that were on full tilt. Each time they decided to take out the non pokerowned person and softplay each other. Each time i told them not to as i could guarantee they would end up 2nd and 3rd. And off course they soft played each other and just tried to take out the other person. So the other person would raise with a decent hand and they would call just to try to take him out and basically threw him their chips.
Hands were happening when other guy raised and they decided which one would call due to their hands. Many times one would fold a hand that he would have called with but folded due to other person having a slightly better hand. And of course the guy who folded would have hit the board hard.
Note those people didnt last long here.
So at lower stakes the whole colluding doesnt scare me because i dont think people are quite good enough to make proper use of it. Obviously if i seen blatant proof of it i would consider reporting it. But i dont recall ever sitting at a table online and it being a concern i had.
That is probably very minute compared to what is probably really going on.
i need more PO pts or else ima die lol rofl
It's not legal nor fair,,,but lets face it there are cheaters in every area of life. But what are you going to do ?
Still say they are just naked and bored!
Is it really that bad we got peeps on here skyping while playing, telling their whole cards..wow..sounds like po crackheads on here.wow
as already stated ... its collusion/unethical/wrong/BS/cheating .... call it what ever ... not much you do about it though
prolly more a problem in SnGs then in big MTTs
Well poofy my friend you are a standup guy, sadly, not most are.
Of course it is not right - cheating is not right!! Eventually they will get caught.
i have been in a few sitngos , only happend a couple times tho,, where i know for a fact, that 3 poeple were all neighbors and were tlakin on fone too at same time, th ey didnt even make any effort to hide it ina 5 dolla sitngo,:( 2 of th em sounded like they were in the same household tooo at same table in sitngo,. was kinda stupid they didnt even cash tho LOL.. what c an u really do, u know they are people, who defo talk to firends while playin,, wheter on fone or skype,,. is just part of the online world i guess.i belong to another group tho,,, where once a week, they have a private game, and every1 goes on skype just to talk,, BUT NOone says anythin bout their cards tho,, just to talk and have fun,, like beinl ive,, is a fun game,,, but every wants to win and noone cheats hteret ho. so u j ust gotta hope for the best most times when online tho.
Just goes to show u that nothing is safe - never even thought that might be happening and am so disappointed - I stopped depositing after black friday because things went so downhill at merge - and now am really glad I did - guess it is beter to play real games
me2 poofoofy always got your back!
Well, I believe that it's online poker. It's online Poker......I'm sure that there are many ways to cheat out there. I play becaue I enjoy the game, and if I can take out a friend that is great because I get to give him hell till he can return the favor. I really didn't think about it in freerolls because there is so little to gain. I just figured it would really be going on in the higher stakes, but you never know I guess.
Of course it's unfair, but that is the risk that you take by playing on line.
I just want to point out that "fair" was mispelled in the title, lol
