tournament or cash player?
i play alot of live tournaments...i find it ALOT easier then online....fuck it
I play very seldom live... Winstar is only 65 miles away,,, but I'm going to try to get there , maybe once a month, I play tournaments,,, I really suck at ring games.
i play alot online and used to play live quiet a bit
It is harder for live players to transition to online as opposed to online players going to live. Or so I tell myself:)
I play live games at least twice a week in my area and go to the casino every other weekend.
I don't play live much. Live is easier, but takes more money. I don't have money to lose, so I stick with online.
I don't play live that much. The casino is too far away. But, I prefer to play the tournaments in a casino as opposed to a cash game.
I just played up at BlackHawk last Saturday, in the HPT ...I won at the 1st level Satellites and got paid the $360 cash to enter the next level...but I will not be going back up as a snow storm is rolling in as I type...that's OK, I'm feeling pretty good about this first attempt and will definitely be attending the next time they come this way in September...it was great fun!!
Its a totally different game, live and online. Thats why you see internet pros that cant do shit live and vice versa.
Im all about turnys live or online too many donks willing to gamble online with trash and of course the rng usually helps them alot LOL
I play both live and online just about the same amount of time. I feel this is good practice to be a well rounded player. I have learned strategies both online and at the casino, my preference is the casino though.
I have started to play live tourneys here and there, will play in another one tomorrow actually.
too bad live here in germany are only shit tournaments(buyin money, win shitty prices as laptop n stuff) or too far away and too big buyin :(
I play live poker more than online and it is different game when you play live.
i play a lot live i play mostly cash games live which is weird because i play only tournies and sit and goes online. I do also love to play live satellites either single table or mtt. Ima start playing more live tournies though
I used to play a lot of live tournaments but then I realized how bad the structure is for $100 or less buyin tournaments. So its mainly cash live. $1/$2 live is like a .02/.04 online lol, a lot fish but less then there used to be several years back.
The good thing with online poker is you can play more than 1 table.
There a much more players and places to play.
and if I\'m bored or want to do something else its online easier.
But live you have more tells.
more focussed
so both ways have good options
i play at fire keepers here in michigan when i get the chance
i use to play live alot when i was up about 7k on lock poker and i still have 1k locked up on ultimate bet. But havent been playing lately.
Plus live play is te only way to ball
I've tried it and like it. The slow play and interaction between players is well suited for my style of play. But nothing beats the speed and tilting of online action.
I do not play live tourney, mostly because i live in a very rural area and if anyone has a game I don't know about it. lol
Not too often really as I mostly play online for the time being. Good luck to you.
online players are better for the most part, benefit of playing online is the availability (can find a tourney any time of day) and the volume (can play 4 tournaments at once). Also speed online seems to be way faster paced.
Occasionaly , but games are to slow and not always running at my local casino
I am waiting until I turn 21 so I can go to the casinos and play live for now im stuck with only the online play. wish there was a 18+ casino around me and not just the 21+ casinos
I play live pretty often, the local cardroom has a nice promo on the weekends where they run a 3/6 limit game, you buy in for $50 and get $80 in chips with a 2-hour play requirement. I usually do ok in that, and when I bust out it's not too bad, but I definitely prefer playing in dollar tournaments online for a shot at $15 over $60 tournaments for a shot at like $500 at the local poker room.
online play is for suckers.live only way to play.
I like live play for a night out etc. but mostly I play online only.
Play online for micro, live for small money.
im playing live with friends in basement, not much in tournaments :D
I play live once a week, but it's tavern poker (World Tavern Poker). You accumulate points and try to make it to regionals - winning at regionals gets you a chance at nationals, where you can win WSOP seats. But it's fun and social. The nearest casino is Cherokee - about 5 hours away, and they only have electronic poker.
I love to play live! Especially since a casino opened up within 20minutes of my home!
I can't stand to play live. Too boring. I need to do other things. LOL
played at the lauberge Saturday.......................................... ..................
No I do not play live very pften.prefer online myself personally
I have been playing online for awhile but have only played 1 live tournament. They don't have many here in Phoenix.
I play live a lot.... 2 to 3 times a week... Cash games 1/3 NLH and tourneys $20-40.... I play online in my down time...
nOT REALLY BUT WANT TOO
