And any variations for tourney or cash came play, and when in the tourney if tourney?
It varies given the situation. Post a hand and we can help you.
Play any hand as u would... Preflop... Then once the flop comes... Youll see what your next move it...
Holdem is all about post flop play.. Usually....
Fishhooks. What a fickle hand! I usually just try to get to a flop within reason with them and go from there. If I see anyone making large moves after a flop with overs showing, I usually give them up pretty easily!
Yeah I just pretty much set mine with em
well it all depends on how many in the hand, how high the stakes are, and how many chips you got. Put all those in perspective and if your a good poker player. You will know what to do. Fold, Raise, All In???? Its one of those
If I'm in position, I'll play them strong preflop - at least 4xbb. If you get a caller, then you can figure if the flop has an A or K, you're dead
had em earlier, guy with A9 all in hits his Ace.
cry out loud
Might be the trickiest hand of all. As others have said, position and situation are key. I will push with them on the button or close, but usually prefer to play small ball.
be prepared to not win with them lmao
Throw them away immediately/
man such a tough hand. especially not in position. just tread lightly.
you should always try to flop a jack that is my best advice also avoid over pairs
You treat jacks just like you treat pocket 2's, no set, no bet.
Its tough man, although Id rather have them than aq off, jacks are best played in good position with no raise or minimal call, don't want to bet into an over pair after flop.
pretty easy watch this How to play JJ - YouTube
Either all in (Not recommended) or raise see who calls than what comes out than take it from there
I would just push preflop with them and do a coin flip if they have A K or AQ
i suggest flopping quads with them
fold or all in
i shove them, but i lose 95% of the time.
When you have JJ you can do a few different things, for example: If it's early in the tourney and it's late position and your chip stack is healthy, just put a raise in, maybe 3 times the blind. Or at least that's how I play usually. If it's late and you have a short stack then i'd shove it. Everyone plays different. gl at the tables!
I rarely push them....go slooooow
I rarely push them also be cautious they usually get beat.
i would see the flop first and then decide = maybe look out for king queen on flop
I play JJ like its 87 suited or 33 - a drawing hand. Unless you are short stacked, all in preflop can get ugly with JJ. If you're the raising preflop type, raise big to scare away the K and Q-high hands. Otherwise I don't consider it a mistake to limp into a cheap pot with them and try to flop a monster. Also, if I'm UTG deep in a tourney, I usually fold preflop
play it more like 10 10 and less like QQ and that should help you avoid some trouble
go all im before the flop everytime. or optiom B limp or optiom 3 just fold the shit......
i usually raise 3 -4 times big blind see the flop judge it from there.
There are many ways to play jacks none of them are correct hahahahaha
as some of other people have already stated, it depends heavily on the situation.
if i had around ten big blinds or less then i would consider going all in.
if i had more than 15 big blinds then I would probably raise 3 or 4 big blinds if no one has raised in front of me.
if no one re-raises and your jacks or any pair for that matter connect on the flop then I would consider slowing it down and check/call depending on the texture of the rest of the flop.
if someone re-raises you preflop or if someone opens with a big raise then I would consider folding.
as caddy stated, there is no 100% correct way to play a hand!
all depends on your posistion and chip stck and who your playing against
They are as bad as AA's. Not always sure which way to go with JJ. I think it's more about instinct.
don't call a big bet on the river with just your JJ - ever.
Shove pre flop =D I played a live tourney a couple of nights ago and raised 4X bb had 2 callers, utg bets 6x bb I ship and loose to a flush made on the river, Therefore shove pre flop and that wont happen
Don't play 'em...
