$1000 Guar. Pot Limit Omaha High Low Tournament at Win River

$1000 Guar. Pot Limit Omaha High Low Tournament at Win River

So i went to go play a PLO tourney at my local casino, and it was a high/low tourney which i knew but i dont really like high/low but i mean beggars cant be choosers..i was actually doing good, u start with 3500 for a $25 buy in and you get a optional $5 for another 500 chip so i paid $30 and got 4,000..i was doin decent up and down by the 100's nothing really big and then got double suited aces, kept betting and getting called by this guy, flop was like KJ3 or something turn Ace river ace lol so i hit qquads on river he calls every street but river so that put me up to 6k in chips and they had a optional $20 for 2k add on/rebuy and i looked at my stack at break and thought..i dont need to rebuy? i got 6k..so came back table broke..got moved..and got double sutied rags, limped and flopped a low and a inside str8 flush draw with my 2 4 clubs, long story short on that hand i rivered a str8 flush with the 5 of clubs on the river and i potted it on the river and the older guy paid me off and the dealer goes..wow thats the first time i dealt a str8 flush LOL im like cool lol so that got me up to 8k. then i limped at blinds at 200/400 UTG, with AQ spade and 67 offsuit, not the best hand, could actually be considered a shit hand. especially in high low but figured i was feelin good, just got a ttr8 flush last hand, so figured 400, i can see what happens..flop comes Q 3 Q, so i like my hand but its far from the nuts, basically the 3rd nuts as of this point, but this flop is so strong for my hand like even if the guy showed me face up, 33 or Q3, i mean i still like my hand but im drawing slim if they have 33 or Q3 in reality...so i lead for 1500, to see where im at, guy on my left smooth calls and this older guy ships it for like 1100 more, and i call and this guy to my left wants to raise but the older guys al in raise is less than my initial bet, so the other guy cant raise, but he just gave me all the info in the world, now i know for a fact he either had 33 or Q3, so inside im saying fml fml fml LOL cuz i got well over 4k invested in this pot, no way im going anywhere..so turn comes a 9 or somethign i forget and i bet 2k and he ships, i insta call and i go you have a boat? and he said ya, and i go "ya im gambling" cuz i knew i was especially after he wanted to raise on the flop after the 3 bet all in. so i show him and he shows me Q36A so im drawing to a chop pretty much or a 7 to scoop the pot, there no low on the board lol, so river comes w/e i forgot but didnt hit me lol so i was out and kinda felt like it was unnecessary for me to get involved there..i mean the limp UTG is pretty bad when i look at it now, but the flop is preeetty hard to get away from imo, so w/e it was fun, and i actually see myself going back every thursday to play it

side note about prize pool : First place was $312 and cuz of rebuys after break first was $500 something so was pretty juicy lol 5 paid i think and i think like 38 ppl were in it lol

Good heavens that sounds like alot of fun. I know Omaha hi/lo is my favorite poker game. I sit out alot of hands after I have plenty of chips to be in the money. Because lots of chasing does not guarantee a darn low will pop up. Hope you have better results next Thursday. I never limp in unless I am BB, but you hit a great flop which set you up to be hosed(especially if there is a duplicate card on the table). Great game.

Thats rough man, sorry. I like hi/lo omaha better than just straight up omaha because i feel its easier to pick up small pots.

Playing AQ67 UTG sounds like a leak in your game you need to fix. The hi prospects of that hand are slim and the low prospects are garbage.

"...could actually be considered a shit hand..." Recognizing a bad hand is one thing, playing a bad hand is another.

    Easy fold preflop IMO.
