does it have instructional guides and such? imo books + experience is best for learning. maybe this would be good for learning basic rules though?

i used to love the WSOP that came out on the PS2 but its hard to really get into when there isin't realy much at stake

It's probably fine to learn the basic mechanics with but I think someone serious about poker would quickly stop playing it.

Poker video games aren't exactly the same thing. If you want to teach, play money on an online site is the way to go. Like carbon, or pokerstars is better because of the play money sngs.

I've seen a few of my friends play in a few months ago. I wouldnt play it though, it looks really boring.
