At casino last week. $2-$5 table in BB. Button player just sat down with $500 I had about $1100 after starting with $500 eight hours earlier. He raises to $20 I protect with JQ suited. Flop QQJ rainbow he bets $50 I smooth call. Turn 5 clubs he shoves I snap call he shows aces. One guess on the river card. %$&@ --- eight hours of grinding 2 outted. Had to get up and leave of get arrested.

will be sure to do so when it happens! Although I usually don't put myself in that sort of position to begin with...I would never call an all in with KQ unless I literally had no other choice, if i'm well stacked vs my opponent I need at the VERY least an Ace or pocket pair.

lol Id think its pretty common knowledge not to call an all in without at least an ace or pocket pair in general terms pre flop all in. Unless of course you like throwing away chips, never said anything about yourself being the first to all in, as this is a different situation, you could be trying to bluff others off or could be severely short stacked and all in is your best option. If im sitting in a tournament or heck ANYTHING for that matter with a comfortable chip lead or some money behind me calling all ins with KQ preflop is just a stupid way to let someone double up on you, unless of course you get "lucky".

um maybe you didn't read what I wrote, its a different situation if your short stacked or have a read on a very wild/weak opponent who just pushes with anything other than that I wouldn't push first, I was saying what I would do not someone else...obviously the guy didn't do what I would have done or I wouldn't have gotten beat luckily. Just a crappy situation.
