He raises 4bb preflop and the guy calls from early position with 7-8, then calls all-in post-flop with a weak pair and weak kicker.
I don't think this is a situation for pot control. If an A had come out on the flop, then maybe slow down a bit to see where you are, but I think it was the right set of plays, and just idiocy + luck that won out.
Sad thing is its just amazing how often terrible play like that gets rewarded, no reason for him to call preflop let alone with a bs pair and no kicker for 70k more, you sure this wasnt merge?? sounds like typical merge or house player who knew what was coming
