I've only been here for like a half a year, but I'm happy I found this site. Too bad we can't play the free-rolls promoted here anymore, but I'm happy Zab is doing the right thing. I'm in Ohio- I'll continue to visit PO and when Ohio eventually gets something regulated, I look forward to Zab hopefully making something happen for us here. Brighter days are on the horizon, after all, if you've been following internet poker news, we all knew this day was coming... It's for the better.

ky has been banned from all sites since black friday your only hope to play from Ky is Pure Play!!! i have a house there also and ohio. good luck or move ..........Governor made the law happen in ky and has been enforced ever since im surprised anyone let ya play from ky if you have been .

This is hilarious because you wrote this message a full 5 minutes after the other guy you were asking about the free rolls with in chat posted a THANKS to ZAB in the thread where the passwords are clearly given (MADE MORE AMUSING BY THE FACT THAT SAID THREAD IS RIGHT NEXT TO THIS ONE IN THE FORUM!!!!!). Effective immediately we are taking down all US facing Poker Rooms, Redemption's and so on. I think you have all seen the news recently that each network is opting out of different states. I think you will find that a dominoe effect will sooner or later occur where eventually all the current US facing rooms that are not licensed be slowly pushed out for the legal ones that will start popping up.

What does this mean for the future of PokerOwned?

We want to be 100% legal. I have always stayed away from sports betting, from PayPal, from Greendot Money Paks. In the near future we will be adding the Euro rooms that do not cater to US traffic.

We will continue to operate as a "GPT" or Get Paid To site, meaning you can still come here, earn points and redeem them for various gift cards.


Is the sky falling for US poker players?

I do not know, I can't answer that. I just know that if we want to remain legal in the future when poker is regulated, we need to stop promoting the rooms that are currently deemed "illegal". That's 100% what it boils down to.

I anticipate PokerOwned will recover. Hopefully we will have a regulated market in every state in due time. I am sure this place will be just as successful with Full Tilt, Poker Stars, 888 Poker, Ultimate Poker, and Party Poker. It is just unfortunate for the residents of states with unregulated markets right now. Good luck with the future of the site and the success of its future. I will stick around and hope I either get transferred to Canada, New Jersey, or Nevada or my state sees the potential revenue from regulating.
