I usually use my points to buy Step One tickets and then use the tickets during Happy hour. If you make it to Step 3 you can use the step 3 ticket for any $24 + $2 tournament. If you play it pretty tight in the SNGs at the very least you can make the ticket last a little while and use it multiple times to get at least a fraction of the points you spent to get it back. I have used these tickets to qualify for the one a day freeroll before after my BR hit $0.
