# Thread: if two people both have AA

1. ## if two people both have AA

if two people both have AA what are the odds one of them will get a flush?

2. its the same odds as any four cards of same suit on board.

3. It depends on if their AA is sooooted or not, Im a poker pro you should trust my stated facts

4. lol too funny! Yea the odds would be the same as any 4 card flush!

5. I'm pretty sure they're the same as any other 4 card flush. Same for every pair, like KK vs KK.

6. Quick answer: 0.04490 or 21.3:1

If you take out the 4 aces, there are 48 cards left in the deck and 12 remaining in each suit. You can use statistics and combinations to figure out the odds (which happen to be identical to any other 4 card flush on board).

Here's the useless math:

(N) n(n-1)....(n-k+1)
(K) k(k-1)...1

Where N = the 48 cards remaining and K = 5 cards being laid down on the table

You would then need to account for the probably in each result (in terms of K) that a flush draw would come out which requires calculus to do and is really annoying and I have crazy intense calculator from calculus and yada yada to get to the point...

To spare you the details, you'd eventually come to 0.04490 or 21.3:1

So about ~4% of the time, the hand will not be split.

7. does it matter?? they will both get donked out with J8, bahahaha

8. then they will miss the flop and chop the pot

9. and they both will loose to pocket kings and king hits

10. pocket AA sucks, for real I hate when I get two aces in my hand. lose 90 percent of the time with AA
