    what about an open ender with 4 to the flush on the flop? what is the odds of pulling the str8 and/or the flush?

    it's basically never good 2 chase against 1 other person, unless he is betting small. never call pot sized bets on a draw against 1 person, altho it's ok if there's 3 or 4 ppl in the hand & there isn't anybody behind u that mite raise. that makes it worth it 2 call cuz u are gettin a lot more chips back 4 the chips u risked, so the times u hit will make up 4 the times u miss. also, never chase a draw, unless u are drawing 2 the nuts or close 2 it. it really sucks 2 chase a hand, hit it, but still lose.
