    HR Record

    Which will happen this year:
Chris Davis will break the MLB HR record (73)
Chris Davis will only break the AL record (61)
Chris Davis will not break any records
Chris Davis will get suspended for steroids

He's not breaking the record, for these reasons:

    - As soon as the pressure starts to build, he'll start pressing. The guy with the current All-Star break record, Reggie Jackson (he had 37), said all he thought about the second half was hitting home runs.

    - We're assuming he'll be injury free; he needs every at-bat just to get close. And speaking of at-bats...

    - He hits 5th in the lineup, not cleanup. Fangraphs states that hitting 5th averages about 30-32 less ABs a season than 4th. 32 ABs could be the difference between 59 and 62.

I'd bet he finishes with 53-54, and becomes one of the few players to win an MVP without being on a playoff team.

I agree with the general consensus here and believe that he will not break any records...the only thing hes gonna break is a back to back triplke crown

He should get to 60, but pretty sure the record and even the number 65 is safe
