Prett good list. Haven't heard of Metropolis, and been meaning to see Soylent Green. Notably absent though is Inception.

Fist sci-fi I ever saw is hard to remember it was the 80's though and I was young. Maybe ET, Wrath of Khan, or The Black Hole. All were awesome. If you like Inception (loved it myself) There is an animated movie, Paprika, you should see. It could easily be a prequel set years before. Inception leaned HEAVILY on this movie for thoughts and ideas, most notably the elevator scene, but watch for many other rehashes of scenes.

Loved Inception also. Will look for Paprika. Wrath of Khan was the best of the ST movies. Ricardo Montalban deserved and Oscar nomination.

Also partial to The Terminator. For a long time considered my all-time favorite movie.

i dont watch movies to often but all time favorite of course is rounders and i loved tommy boy so funny

i dont watch much sci fi, but if Galaxy Quest counts!! thats my choice!!
