    Yeah, I had to come to the realization that my play got very, very loose. Now I'm doing much better. 2/2 FS1 1/2 FS2 and 5th place back to back to back bad beats FS3

    Its a fold preflop. Unless he's really aggressive and raises often, you could only really call if no one has limped early. With 2 players limping, I think A5 suited is a call. After you called with A5 off, I would probably fold on the river. The only hand you would win against is like AQ - A10 and you'd lose to so many hands.
