^ Yes but when you get a big hand in the big bling, youre likely to win a big pot!
Best Position is nothing without a good hit
if your a big bluffer like me . the button is ur best friend ... and if u have a hand in the button and ur a bluffer they never believe u so u give them a big hit.!
I try playing position, but it seems like it doesn't matter at my stakes. Too many calling stations, so it's hard to bluff.
Position falls in the top three most important things, along with chip management and studing betting habits (this would be reading other players if live play).
Just my thoughts
I like to play a lot in cut-off. I feel I can do everything with a large range of cards.
I hear a lot online about donkey players, most people certain that they only exist online. I've played poker all over America, and played for money, not big money, but I've entered some tournies up to a grand..and I have to tell you, they play the same damn way, most of the time in the beginning. Some people have more money than sense, some people watch WSOP on TV and don't realize that every decent hand is not an 'all in' hand, and it can be frustrating. If you are a good poker player, you just tighten up your game a bit, and position matters.
Not all 9 or 8 other players are going to do dumb shi$%. You identify the Donks and avoid them unless you have something worth fighting for, pair paint min if they are all in or nothing. sometimes these guys check, and it's nice to be behind them, so you can guage what they are doing. I think position always matters to how you play your game. You just have to adjust for the maniacs...I think anyway :)

Big blind specials are a good deal. But listen, just because the low games where the actual cards matter a lot more than the players, doesn't mean that position is a bad concept to keep to. Especially later in Mtt's
there are lots of donkeys out there at the real poker tables at casinos..
many of them can afford, dont care, lonely old men looking for somethng to do.. these are my donks..
why? because they are not affraid to fold, they will call anything preflop just to see a flop. many are to "married" to their hands they wont fold after the flop. and many love to bully just with the "extra" chips, try to scare me off.. and they love to bluff and call ace rags..
just like online players..
use ur head, you could do something about it..
