Anyone consistently win these? I won one step 3 around the time I joined carbon late last month and none since then. Always end up making it to step 2/3 with like top 3/4 then get knocked out.

won a 3 step once and got that one in a hour just was a lucky day other times too tedeous
I won 4 of them. I believe my win rate at them was 15%. I found this place while I was playing them and quit playing the steps after being here for a couple of days. I did not play them the same as step 1 or step 2. At a certain point in them you need to switch gears and really start picking up the aggression. There will be a player or two that realizes that their stack is so small that they are now playing for second or third. If this happens start stealing their blinds with a wide range.
Like all poker with a quick structure, you are going to have to get lucky.
Are the fun steps free to enter and then lead to cash games?
The fun steps cost 250 play chips to get started on step 1. No actual money needed, quinnyjc.
I have won a couple step 3s. I started my bankroll with steps before I found pokerowned. I have been playing steps again lately since my bankroll has went to almost nothing. I got 2 step 2s to play that I won last night. The step tickets are only good for 7 days fyi.
Didn't know they were only good for 7 days... interesting thing to learn lol
Yes 100% free. As quin said entry cost is $250 play money which you can top up anytime.
Step structure is like so
Step 1 top 3 make it to step 2
Step 2 top 2 make it to step 3 3Rd reentry to step 2
Step 3 1st place gets $1 2nd place reentry to step 3 and 3rd play reentry into step 2.
It isn't easy by any regard but if you have the time and determination along with a little luck it can be an affective way to build a small brankroll to start playing low stakes double up sng's or something similar.
steps are for the lowest of the low and i only ever play them when im super bored...these new steps they have introduced however (for actual cash) look somewhat interesting
Wish I had known that last week. I had been 4-6 tabling step 1's for like a week straight. Finally built up a decent amount of step 2's then whamo a bunch of tickets are gone the next day the same thing happened. Pretty much gave up on fun steps after that.
Az, sorry not everyone has a mighty white horse that they ride around all day like you. Some of us have to work from the ground up
those steps are a hard way to work your way up, better off with the freerolls around here
they have new ones now with a 1.10 buy in and go up to step 6 or 7!! if u want to try to build your bankroll bigger!
i have to be real bored to do the steps but occassionally i do do them
I wouldn't say I've won them consistently, but I've won a few of them. Playing the steps can be so tedious.
i have about 1000 fun steps 1 for sale. who want some hit me up.
It's interesting how competitive the fun steps actually get, especially in round 3.
I used to play these, but by step 2 rather odd stuff starts to happen. For example, one guy gets down to about 450 in chips. after limping in UTG, it's folded around to a guy who pops it to 375. short stack calls, yes calls, leaving ony a few chips behind. Then, post flop, the guy who raised it just folds! Not disconnected, no, just folds it. Now the short stack has doubled. I wouldn't want to acuse anyone of chip dumping....aw, heck, we all know it is. Wouldn't think you would get people colluding for a shot at one dollar, but there it is. I could go on with other examples of EXTREMLY questionable plays, but you get the point. Stuff you rarely otherwise see seems to happen much more often in these. After I caught a guy bringing in chips into a live MTT once, the staff only banned the guy for a week, kind of tells you how serious a place takes stuff that isn't costing THEM any money.
I've seen a couple of instances of possible chip dumping in the FSs but I don't think it's a regular thing. I suspect it's not collusion for a $1, but more likely a person with 2 accounts playing the same game and dumping to him/herself. But even so, I've won the FS3 several times, so at least the cheating doesn't give an overwhelming edge.
i just go all in everyhand funstep 1 and usually have as many as i can going at smalllest window size. usually get atleast 2 funsteps 2s this way surprisingly. and i actually try the funstep 3s ive won probly around5 or 6 of them.
I like the fun steps. I won one.
I always thought it should be called not so fun steps, seems like a struggle to get their. I'd rather work a job for a few hours and make a deposit then try to build a bankroll via these step tournaments.
yeah seems hard to win step three.l took me quite few tries. but did get the buck lol
its that third fun step that always seemed to take me a bit to win. hey what do u guys think bout the step sit and gos they have on carbon know. u thk its worth it?
ive tried to play these games but its seems to be a total donkfest of fools ...imo!!!
I don't think you can stack fun step tickets.
It's quite hard getting first place in Fun Step 3. It takes a-while. They give you 10 tickets to Fun Step 1 per day.
Just fyi....if you guys win these....it's much easier to grind up a profit buy buying into a couple 6 cent tourneys and taking them down and gradually moving up like that till you have about 20 dollars rather than risking your entire bankroll in a cashgame session
I like to play them just to try out new ideas.
6 sit tourneys. I've never seen any that low before. where are those located
iv'e seen the 11 cent sit and gos but not the ones for 6 cents. yeah the cash games seem to be getting a little tougher to beat in mu opinion. trying to focus on sit and gos at moment
I don't think they are worth the time spent ruining your game
they are definately worth it if you have the time the do get pretty annoying if you get a run of shit cards
I began playing the funsteps again, just about a week ago and actually having fun with them. Some games are a little better than others, of course. In my opinion, it's worth checking them out now and again, even if only to kill a little time. :)
im trying my luck at the fun steps now not going well...
