10BB is all i can say mate...
If its a poker Owned tourney you can survive with 6xBB. So when you have 5xBB definitley pick a spot. When you feel an opponent is weak and you sense their tightenng up ...and you have them covered than any time round the bubble (preferably HU).
I think it depends on the blind level and your stack size compared to the rest of the field . A donk will shove way to many hands and if he ends up with a big stack your better off waiting for AK /10s/JJ/QQ/KK/AA . You can almost always get a call in that case so you really need to wait if you have the blinds to do so.
After I make the money
depends if your on the bubble 5-15 BB with any ace or king suited
It's time to start considering a push when you are down to 10 big blinds. It's not an emergency at that point, but you have to start considering it.
time to push is when you are in the red zone, chip wise, and that is when ur stack compare to pre flop pot (antee and blind)is five time or less.that means u can see one round and u should consider pushing
I always shove when i get a pair higher than 10 or 2 cards that are jack or higher.. this is only when really shortstacked though.
