hope you 10 7 was very short stack, who shoved first?
lol i shoved first, at worse i lose 150 PO points chalk another loss up and bounce out to casino lol
she did but why u kjeep beating a dead horse? u won im not mad why are u? Im ahead preflop i lost big deal GLGL
and no she wasnt short enough to push that trash but i made a bad call and i said trash push wins 15 minutes of hell followed LOL
cause u keep sayin ur ahead preflop, numbers dont lie and i dont want a fellow POer to go around misinformed i'd hope someone would let me know if i was assuming one thing when another is true especially if i was a serious poker player who is tryin to improve my game
BTW im sry if me saying trash push wins i wasnt trying to insult u in any way
Im not insulted i know it wasnt a grand play on my part, but i figure u to be a player who wants to be as informed as possible when making decisions while $ on the line, and i seen u were misinformed so i figured i would try and help a fellow POer out
I appreciate any help you gave me or give me in the future and again i wasnt trying to be an ass honestly
Really, I just read through a thread for that:) I am getting 5 points out of this deal!!!!!!!!!!:)
I u bove arguing about this hand?
pockets are always better preflop.
but it is a gamble to play it like this.
i agree with theopimus its a gamble to play this way and you cant be surprised to lose
I know pockets are ALWAYS better preflop but that was the main point of the argument and i know my call was very iffy but i also knew she was on tilt push so i called with 44. Im used to 22 thru 10 10 beating my AK or any big non pockets so i figured it was my turn for a pair to hold. I get the same response when i have 2 overs vrs small packets and the pockets hold, that i should not have played the overs so hard LMFAO but against someone who u know is on tilt shouldnt u call with any pair? when they are pushing? It was never a argument of how good or bad my hand was but really over which hand was favored which is(IMO) the pocket pair by a %. So i know its a pure coin flip and not a great call but also not a bad call.
I do like being given advice as i want to grow online and be informed. and BTW since you said it many times at the table. I DO NOT think online is rigged for any one other then just for action and i havent said anything like that in a while and when i did it was just a rant/vent over being bad beated. If i really thought that and played anyway then that would be my own fault for being a dumbass right?
If 10 7 wasnt short enough to push, then 44 should definitely not call unless you had a huge stack compared to the blinds. Calling with small pocket pairs is too big of a gamble since you'll be 50/50 at best. Im surprised 44 is that close in terms of % ....
The problem with small pockets is you are not sure what the other person has in his hand. even 10 7 are 2 overcards.
I play small pockets on a easy way. as cheap as possible and hoping to hit on the flop.
Or if you have a big stack you can push hard to make some pressure.
There is no rihgt way to play this kond of cards.
It al depends of the situation.
ANd i understand your explenation.
But it doesnt mather.
small pockets are always a gamble
I would take 7 10 over 44 in that situation. 7 10 is my favorite hand too.
its a coin flip whats the big deal? It usually comes down to a coin flip anyways!
Its something like 56% to 44% but its sucks shove :D
What was the board in the hand?
posts like this make me wonder why i dont win more lmao
so who won?
LMAO, I see this shit all the time, IDK people get crazy!!!!
I think both made very good preflop decisions regarding this hand, if more people would open their game up like this they might see more final tables
I would rather have the low pair and hope to pick up trips on the flop. But what makes poker so fun is the difference the players make.
ppl playing poker, are SOOOOO misinformed about actual %, once you really know ur poker hand % u will be amazed at how varianced poker really is.
i personally do not like 44 or lower IN ANY situation, 22-44 is easily counterfeited
also the whole "IT WAS SUITED" theory has ALOT of relevance. suited can be the difference in a damn near 2 to 1 race and a 60/40 race.
most live card shoves are 37% and there is a certain point in the game where if you are short stacked, a 37% chance at doubling up is worth it... and if cards are suited, 40% chance is certainly worth it.
i do not know the chip stax for this particular situation, so i cannot say if either player was proper shoving or calling.
i dont understand this statement. the % clearly shows 10 7 suited is ahead pre flop. why would u go against math?
this brings me to another point about what "looks better" or "feels better" or "my favorite hand"
all of this does not matter. go with the math and you will be fine... the trick is taking some time out to learn the math...
like i said 44 = EASILY counterfeited
ill take the 10 7 suited, str8, flush poss. 2 over cards, conferit possiblilty
that not good playfor me in long run
