i havent tried it on carbon much i do alot on bcp tourney, my thing is if i reg late, if i can double up will it put me around bubble i will register if i need a triple i prob wont do it gl
For the small ones I have waited until late registration ended. The $1 turbo things can be easy to double up in.
I only do it if it's going to benefit me. I would rather start at the beginning of the tournament and build my stack.
If I can't play from the start I don't like to enter.
I do well when the stacks are big and I can make monster hands for double-ups.
Wait too late on Carbon and you're doing shove-or-fold right from the start...
i usually sign up about 30 mins in, just to stay away from the idiots shoving all in trying to build their stacks!!
I haven't seen any late register that is really long, only small field in US friendly site but the late reg is very long.
yea there actually are some tourney formats where it benefits u to reg late!
Late reg. is an option for all of us who doesn't want to shove stacks from beginning. We could do it later on, where also blind-stealing is a good way ! :)
Agree. When the blinds are high and antes are added, stealing blinds can be very profitable.
i like to get in when blinds are small and steal the small blinds!

hey i got in late but dont know if its worth joining a tourney or not?
I prefer to get in early and sit tight during the shove-fest that is typical in the early stages of the freerolls. I don't like coming into a tournament as the short stack.
ME register late on freerolls on normal tourney register on stzart
I've done this a few times trying to take advantage of the situation. Overall, I don't think it's a good strategy. If you register at the last minute, you are lucky to have a 10bb stack, so you have to shove or fold any hand. Also, since others have been building their stack for hours, you don't have any fold equity. This just applies to Carbon's stupid micro re-entries, so I don't know how well this might work on other sites with different formats.
i think that the pro's and con's even out if your early you get to see that hour or two worth of hands and chance to get momentum or get knocked out where as if you wait till end yeah half the people are gone but blinds are usually 100 or 200 by then w/ antes so your 1000 or 1500 starter stack doesn't last long if you dont catch, witch is what it all comes down to in freerolls anway making moves at oppurtune and rational times and hoping it holds up against donk calls
sometimes I finish a winner when I register late.... after all... better late than never
if i come in late i shove or fold. Either get knocked out real quick or win enough chips to have a chance at it.
you guys that come in late and shove are donkeys.... that's why yall don't have and money won showing on your profile
if you play a good short stack game latr regiistering can be benifical to you bc your more in your comfort zone. otherwise prob best to register normal time tourney starts (or close to it) glgl
Registering late allows more money to enter tourney with the down fall of having the the full time to chip up at the same levels its fair for both sides sometimes
I don't want to register too late in a late registration tournament, because player's will have a big chip lead on those who register late
Ive never understood the point either.. i guess itgives people a chance
the only thing with bovada poker is that they dont take late registration and they only have one freeroll a day theyre cheap ):
I usually just waste my money when I register late
Its always better to start a tourney from the beginning!!
