is there any advantage to playin these ??
if you are deep enough sometimes the add on is very useful. If given the chance always add on if your br permitts. i never buy back unless i bust out very early.
If you have the bankroll to support it, and the skill set to avoid busting out early... these can be quite profitable. There are a lot of people that don't have the needed skills yet that will play it, because you can buy back in... bust them out, and it adds more money to the pot.
rebuys and addons are pretty cool but only if you have the bankroll and the skills to stay in the game if so you can make a little money
I dont like them. For now I have too small bankroll to compete other players with rebuys...
i think that it showed be not allowed in some kind of tournament because it is not fair for everyone
dont play them
Barradas, people go into those type of tournaments knowing what they are, so it is fair. If you don't want to be a part of that, then simply don't place those tournaments. Not all are like that.
With the rebuys I try to avoid them but some people have the stomach for them. The problem is you have people calling you with all-in with 8-10 and you have A-Q and you bust out. These people usually don't care because they'll just rebuy. Sure you can build up a pretty nice stack but I prefer just to find another tournament. Better for my blood pressure!!!
yeah... if you win the tourney... you get more money... every add on or rebuy some donk has to purchase, increases the money in the winnings pot... more money in your pocket is always an advantage.... just sayin'
I really don't like them,,, It feels like thre guys with the most money wins.
Wagon, not really. The rebuy only goes on for a short time, maybe an hour. Then there is 1 rebuy. After that, its like a regular tournament, once you're out... you're out.
Basically a $1 rebuy is a $5 regular mtt - or at least thats how you should look at it. If you can get away without rebuying and just an addon - you can get some good value out of it. Since rebuys are unlimited on a lot of sites, some people end up putting a lot of money into the prizepool so extra money there.
rebuys are for rich donkeys lol
not a fan of rebuys and addon tournys at all.....I miss the good old days of the big guarentedd MTT's on PS and FTP that didn't even need rebuys or addon.....they would have tournys that could be life changing if won.....I wish they can come back then more and more people would play more on a daily basis and become pros.
no you ned to have biger bankroll
no you ned more money in your bankrol
There is more money usually in these types of tourneys. I like the rebuy/addon tourney.
well all these games just need to be playd rigt.
The R/A tournies usually have a much higher GTD prize pool, but have many donks that rebuy again and again.
So if u want to build a BR fast then these can be useful
im starting to get sick of rebut tournys
They really take too long. i find it hard to sit in front of the computer that long with out doing something stupid.
Some of the tourneys have crazy big Addons look for these!
I know what you're talking about. If there's late registration I like to wait until the very end, right before the addon period. Then buy-in and add on. Then you can take advantage of the big prize pool without spending as much. And since the rebuy period is over you don't have to worry so much about the donks. It's worked pretty well for me.
Yes gpahren have just started doing this and it so far has worked well...
I hate to play a tourney with unlimited rebuys... It lets the donkeys constantly donk and sometimes they keep doing it till someone calls them... Then about half the time they get lucky and knock out a good player... Sometimes a tourney with a single add on is ok... A good player doesn't really need either.... just sayin'

Exactly this you can also get a large early stack if you get a hand early and a re-buying donk plays aggressive into you.
the strategy for rebuy tourneys are to risk a few buy ins early going all in with mediocre hands
this way if u bust out u leave and write it off
if u hit u can add on at break and have a chance at the final table
my biggest scores have come in rebuy tourneys. 1st hour gives you a chance to build a huge stack and the rest of the tourney is generally pretty deep because the craziness of the first level. definitely worth playing
