Multi Table Tournaments to Ring Games

I've been playing poker for a few years no online. (and twice in Vegas, but I don't speak of that) When I started playing it was on NLOP.com which is sweepstakes based MTT poker for tiny cash prizes. I got quite adept at playing this way. Now making the transition to cash games I find myself losing way too much way too fast. I'm so programmed to tournament play that I either need to avoid Cash games altogether or somehow adjust to the difference in game theory and the application thereof. Any suggestions?

cash games you can be much tighter depending on the table - think of it this way - playing a .01/.02 10-person table you can fold 100 times in a row and it only costs you .30 , now try folding in a tourney 100 times in a row and see what happens

Try to get some1 all-in pre-flop so they can't do this to you. If you feel ur cowboys are good just push him all-in, chances are they are tired of folding and will call with the other dudes.

Edit: I noticed there is a character reference tot he RNG givng aces a small majority over the kk hand. It's gonna be hard to use the ol' math-based RNG dilemma rather than do a lift towards physics.

Basically, I managed to upgrade my pawns vs. A.I. chess doing an obverse rook lift, however I had to sacrifice a bishop or even queen to move the infantry up. Really hard to make an RNG that is math based without the advent of physics and electroplating new memery cells.

I dislike ring games, its only good for FPPs/PPs. STTs and MTTs. You can earn lots.

as you have said it well when you get used to playing multi table tournaments is very difficult to play cash because styles of games are the best estartegia distisntos to win the largest number of wells is identify players who fall more frequently in a pot and how often they fold their cards and know how to differentiate the donkeys of the fish.

no and it should be different than a tourney - style is different based on rules of the game - plus raising blinds is a big factor

Yeah with ring games patience will pay off because you can categorize the players since they don't change as often as in MTT's.
In tournaments, you have to loosen your range up a bit, especially when you are extremely short stacked or when the blinds and antes are eating up your chips faster than you can catch winners with nothing but premium hole cards.

I prefer the MTTs just because it matches my style better. The sit n goes are fine too, but definitely like the MTTs

i like the sngs myself because it only takes 30 mins for me to bubble out instead of 3 hours

As I started playing cash long before the internet was in every home for sure...the difference is quite large....especially with online ring games and tourneys...be afraid...be very afraid. online cash players are either rocks or about as loose as you can imagine and with that seems to come all the luck you can imagine...they will lose but likely take your money first...lol. The variance online doesnt always seem to work out and playing cash games typically can take your whole stack when your sporting AA or one of the other top 5....often a strictly calling til river even with the nuts...at that point decide...as long as the betting doesnt get crazy you can often control pot size ...often the bigger the pot the more likely that donkey will call and often catching...its different for sure...even as a live cash player/licensed dealer the online ring games are unless your very disciplined and take your winnings and go to a new game...often tough and not advocated by all..for sure...I am no good at that by the way...i will stay stacking until out of the blue some dumazz will catch and stack me...welcome to online poker...where you never really know who or shall i say what your playing...good luck!

I hear that! I wonder if it is proven one way or another-which is more profitable tournaments or ring games?

You've got to learn to switch gears if you don't want to try and be a specialist. but, hey, if you're winning at what you know, nothing wrong with that.
