Didn't realize so many fish play at cash games on merge...

I play tournaments most the time but today I stumbled into a 2 cent- 4 cent blind table and I know it's really low stakes but there was so many people who sit down with 4$ and play so obvious and horrible it's unreal. I just didn't realize there was that kind of action at cash tables. I don't know if they just felt like gambling or bluffing more today but it was raise every hand and fold to a reraise. Or all in on the flop with 22 and the flop is 6 K 9. Has anyone else came across tables like that? I made some decent money but lost most of it because of a few nasty rivers.

Yeah you can rack up some coinage playing the .2/.4 tables. Can lose all your scratch too with the amount of allins that take place.

Well it is the lowes possible limit... what do you expect there ?

they are a lot of fishes on cash game , u just have to wish they dont get lucky

The lower the stakes, the more fish...

A couple reasons this happens. Some of the players there may have recently learned the game, possibly moving from "free" tables to try to play cash games at the lowest possible limit. Many more, I think, are regular merge gamblers - they will normally be at the site to make sports bet or whatever and pass time playing low-limit poker. It's not easy to play on such a mixture of craziness but they can be beat, after all, they're making mistake after mistake. You can't retire from grinding at these tables but you can build a (very) small consistent bankroll.

Thanks for the replies all, I will admit i'm no Doyle Brunson but I'm not a total fish either. It's crazy what goes on at some of those 2-4 cent blind games. I love it but hate it at the same time. Oh well, That's poker I guess. I like the old saying that Doyle and other greats mean when they say. with every hand you learn something new. Gl at the tables all!

Lower stakes are going to have more loose aggressive play than other stakes.

most people bluff at that price but if it is no limit it could cost you

the best tip i ever got for playing micros is bet for value and try not to bluff as much as u would at say a 1/2 game betting for value will make you alot more money in the long run at micro games

yes they are terrible at poker its funny

There are so many fish on merge, its unreal...

It is definately the fishiest U.S. Site out there, which is usually a great thing, problem is that Merge continually pays them off:(

I second this.... its probably the best strategy for micro games. While they're thinking its only a few cents who cares if I lose it, your thinking its only a few cents here and there but every little bit adds up. Then you just walk away while your up, and if you really wanna play some more sit back down or go to another table and bring what you originally started with and not what you walked away with. For me this is usually kinda easy, because by the time I get ahead I'm ready to go smoke a cigarette and I gotta go outside to smoke so I leave that way I don't waste any money on blinds while I'm gone.

Yes, merge's RNG encourages fish. I dont blame em.

I love seeing people say merge is rigged. It's like if you really thought that you'd quit depositing money and playing on it wouldn't you.... lol

People don't think of 2 cent 4 cent as real money. It turns into a donk fest. Enjoy it, you can build a nice bankroll from it.

fishes who r not lucky will help ur bankroll , its the other side that will hurt u

Tables like that are fun, but it sucks when they run good. Also, if you have a small bankroll, not really the most ideal tables to play. Yeah, you can double your bankroll quickly, but you could also lose it in a few hands. But if you do play, don't be too surprised to have your big pairs cracked to chasers.
