What a great question! So many dynamics to this theory. As much as it pains, being a cash game player, I would have to say tournament players have the advantage until you reach the final five. Once there are five, that is ALL cash table play. We as a poker community have seen this play out so many times with the great tournament players. Basically, they gradually build there stack throughout the entire tourney only to get railed in the top 5 with there big pair, usually against a running flush or str8.
Sidebar: When the tourney comes down to HU and there is a Cash game specialists vs. Tourney specialists. Great casino bet to put money on the Cash specialists.
