Im never raising the flop only to fold the turn given stacked sizes.
And the bad part is that there are so many bad turn cards that can come off (Any diamond, 7, 6, Jack, Queen).
This is why i didnt like the raise option. I decides to just flat and see what comes off. Then when it came a diamond and the button was still firing (not scared of the diamond at all) i figured he must have bottom set beat.
Very few times if ever that i have laid down a set. However, i dont feel too terrible about this play, but who knows.
raising is still the correct play. you'll give flush and straight draws horrible odds to continue by raising. call and peeling one off is worth it to them. you got to protect your hand and find out where your hand is. you can do both by raising. the fact there was 5 people is more the reason to raise. if the swing of losing your whole stack is too scary, you're playing too high of stakes.
