aces get busted again

Okay so I am playing on a cash table 2-4 cent no limit and I am in UTG 3 and get dealt aces. I am thinking sweet heres comes some change, well wouldn't ya know it I lose. Heres how it goes down, I raise preflop to 16 cents, it folds to small blind who 3 bets me to 50 cents. I have about 2.40 so I 4 bet him all in and to my surprise he calls. Flips jacks, first card on the flop is guess what a jack. This is the second time today I lost with aces on a 2-4 cent table. I get aces and raise pre to 14 cents. Two callers, flop comes 6 2 Q. 1st player checks 2nd bets 4 cents, I raise to 54 cents, 1st player folds and 2nd calls. Next card is a 3..BTW all different suits until the turn, he bets out 4 cents again I raise this time to 95 cents and without hesitation he calls. At this point I'm thinking what the hell is wrong with this guy. The last card is a 5 I have about 34 cents left and he checks so I push the rest in and he flips over 65. Anywho that has been my adventful day and can't wait till tomoroow. Goodnight all and good luck on the felts!

I understand the frustration, but keep in mind that it was 2c/4c. If you get a good bankroll, the play gets better the higher stakes you get.

im finding .02/04 to be very tough. try to win ten bucks a session. its so hard

Yeah - that's very frustrating, but it's the life for those of us living at the bottom of the stakes stacks, eh? Any two cards is good enough for an all-in, so there's no way to protect a good hand.

i loose all the time with AA.i am amateur and i don t know how to play this hand....

The microstakes are brutal, its hard, in my opinion, to have a true BRM plan, because there are so many people that go, "Its just pennies, who cares?" Those of us that try to take it seriously, and build up, have a lot harder time consistently moving up at that level, not because we are playing hands wrong, but because of the number of people that just don't care.

If this is played on Pokerstars this is normal. AA almost never wins on Pokerstars, it annoys me so much.

It has nothing to do with the site itself, and everything to do with how people view the game. Whether you play on pokerstars, full tilt, carbon, lock, or even at a casino, it has a lot to do with the other players' styles, and how they view your style. And even then, AA is not guaranteed to win every time. It gives you the best percentage preflop, but it isn't guaranteed.

"With aces, you will either win a little pot or lose a big one" Doyle Brunson. Aces main problem? NO ONE WANTS TO FOLD THEM. If your post flop action gets called, you got to read that board and wonder what they have. If you raised big pre flop, it really does say "I got a real big hand!", so if the flop does not have big cards....get it? Plus, at 2/4, you would be amazed at what people call preflop with, becasue they dont think "pot odds" they think "it's only xx cents". Sad, but there it is. Would you call a big rasie with small suited connectors and chase a gut shot in a 2/4 DOLLAR game? how about 20/40? See, pennies are pennies, but Dollars are a lot more! You are much less likely to find a player who will chase a long shot for 100's of dollars, and if they are the type, relax, Thats why we play, to find rich dummies looking to pay dearly so they can go to the office the next day and talk about that "heroic call in the face of clear and present danger"; They like to brag about the 300 they won, and never mention the 1000's they lost just to get there!

I read somewhere, I think on here that it wins something like 15% of time...don't quote me on that but if that is the number that is very small considering its the best starting hand. I have had several players tell me they would take 89 suited against aces heads up any day of the week. They said that 89 suited has the most outs. I find this hard to believe, after all when ever you hear someone has aces you automatically expect them to win, either in a showdown or taking down the pot at one of the streets. Thanks for the feedback and I do understand the lower limit tables the play will be sparatic, like a micro MTT but it is just exhausting to wait patiently to get the hand you want and then lose it to some fish chasing a draw or thinking they know what you have and that your a betting with nothing on every street. Do you even think it crossed the other players mind on what I could possible have, I mean that is a part of the game, but it is okay and there is always tomorrow. At this low of levels, they probably are NOT thinking about what you have, or could have. They are more thinking "if I can catch this card..."

Be careful with the weapons of mass destruction(AA). Never know when they crack ya.

thanks for the motivation, from now on whenever im gonna get bad beat with aces im gonna try to get clam and lough at it and try to get back in the game.

AQ is worse, IMO. AQ just begs to lose money.

Play AJ over pocket pairs or flush/straight draws and only play QQ, KK, AA with any real aggression. That's what has been working for me.

the micro tables do suck!! they call with any cards, thats why your Aces get cracked so much!!

Higher limits usually mean better play, which is great for not getting sucked out on as much, but you can lose more quickly because leaks in your game will become more apparent, where people pay more attention. It is a give and take

yeah it's hard playing those low limit games when there isn't a lot on the table to start off with. you just have to try again and again.

just don't get all excited and pee like a little puppy does when he gets attention. pocket aces are not unbeatable. ive lost more with them than won. ill fold them just like id fold another good hand. unless you hit that 3rd ace on the flop don't get bet happy. any 2 pair puts them in the dirt a donk can have a 2 3 and get a 2 3 on the flop then ur fuc ked hoping for a 3rd ace but if your gonna get it it will be the river like always lol

I only use pocket rockets to shove with preflop....that's all they are good for IMO

it happen, what can i say, you should be more careful XD

always sooo frustrating getting yo aces busted like that
