I probably just put galford all in, But from what ive seen from him, he is pretty tight

I agree with him playing tight, which has me wonder if what is in his preflop call range that he checks flop. He seems to be able to lay down hands that miss.

he's a competent player, He's not flatting here with AK or AT. he shoves those pre. pretty much all he is flatting here is KK and AA most likely to induce a double up. I could be very wrong. But that's how I see it.

i shove there. the 6.4 he has left can fold to the shove if he plays tight with the bubble approaching. there's also a chance he had A or K high or an under pair to the J and lets it go. also its a pot size bet to win the pot...

1. We've already stated that he is a tight player, and decent at that,
2. No decent player is going to fold leaving themselves 5bbs.

yeah its kinda ify, id probly fold as a tight player but push if not

This is a spot that many get themselves into with these stack sizes. I'm not suggesting OP did anything wrong, just saying that if you raise pre, you should have the plan sorted for how the flop is going to play. Like, with his stack, when you raise we assume you already have an idea of whether or not to call if he re-ships. Same for SB. Unless you raised without that plan in mind.

So...continuing that, you should also have a fair idea of what you will do if A)he flats then shoves a flop we missed, B)he flats then shoves a flop we hit, C)he flats then checks a flop we missed, D)he flats then checks a flop we hit.

As played, I put him in on the flop. In order to bet-fold I'd have to be certain he's never bluffing. If he really is that tight, though, we could/should have just put him in pre-flop.

88 vs AA can win .15% percentage of the time .s omething like that . KK has better chance of winning against 88

yea i like shoving here a lot because he is short stacked
