You're all probably aware that Bovada has the 'anonymous players' feature. One might ask why introduce such a thing. Is it for security reasons? Is it because they want the game to be more enjoyable? Maybe they just want to be unique? Well no to all actually. The answer is that, from their skewed perspective, it will attract losing/depositing/degenerate players. You know, because the money you deposit and hold in your account is theirs anyway.:rolleyes: They also have no reservations about sharing this info with the public. See for yourself:

Player tracker tools and HUD's are net depositing players' biggest enemy, and we are now effectively stopping these from ever working on our software again. i love the anonymous thing. Its all about stopping people from using trackers, what is problem with that. Some of us just want to play, not pay for a figure out how to use pt's to take advantage of those who don't. You still play the same game, you just don't get to use a pt to get an advantage over those who don't

haha that actually makes sense, I like the site because it is easy to build a bankroll.

quick ? i have never considered it myself but what % of people involved in online poker do u think use tracking
and other poker software???

I can appreciate that opinion. It's shared by some others. Just bringing attention to there flawed/greedy/insulting reasoning. Fact is, you're playing a card game on a computer and tracking software is a reality, at least everywhere else. Live poker is the alternative. They've given you something you enjoy, whilst creating a security risk. Calling you an atm for them in the process.

actually they just spoke the truth, without the players that deposit on regular basis, these rooms wouldnt exist, i think it was nice of them to come up with a cute name for us, ;).

This is flawed thinking. Say they were to shut down tomorrow (*knock on wood), do you think they would be able to cover all player balances. If their opinion is that player deposits means 'money in the bank' then I'd say that's highly unlikely. Rake = Revenue and not a penny should come from elsewhere. Turning away players, of any skill level, is just bad business.

ok, i was j/k, but using your argument here, then they should allow multi accounters, bots, and anyone who wants to use any method to get an advantage? Using software to help your game is to some, an unfair advantage. You can be on which ever side of that argument you want, but bovada has decided they think it is unfair and has eliminated it. There are plenty of other choices if you want to play with a hud or pt. I do agree with you though, probably not there best decision to say the reason is help the losing players that dep regularly, would of been better to just say they are taking away what they feel is an unfair advantage of those using hud's and pt's.

I'm not disagreeing with you and it does just depend on your opinion of whether huds = cheating. Different debate. But I'd like to add to my point bc its been misinterpreted- Turning away players, of any skill level, is just bad business. Not turning away players who cheat/collude/multi-acct etc., is also bad business.

I dont know if this is a level or not.

I like the idea of not using HUDs, but it would be nice to be able to take notes.

This is a BP disaster, with a Chick-fil-a press release.

Regardless of whether you like/dislike anonymous players. For a VP of one of the largest US poker sites to make a statement like that is just appalling. Something like that being said by these companies is just damaging to whats trying to be accomplished for US online poker.

LOLOL maddjek. I AGreee here... I Never de posit, and i think bovada, like poofy said. is a fairly easy site to build ur broll on too. I like the ananonymous thing at the cash tables i play there, the hi l o games. there are a lot of bad players too.but noone can stalk u to other tables when u leave and move to another one too LOL...... I do see ur points Vito,, if u like to use PT program tho, then its not as good for that kind of player.I dont think us players that DONT use PT progaram are alll bad players tho, :) I still like thier customer support also. P.S> i toght ur rant was goona be about the bad beats vito, ot that weird glitch i experienced 2x .. hehe:)
