does anyone know we can play 2 merge site at the same time?
does anyone know we can play 2 merge site at the same time?
That is a violation of Merge's ToS, so I'd advise against trying it.
There is a way to do it but i wouldnt recommend it as it is against their TOS and if caught they would just ban your accounts.
it is not a violation, i have emailed and got a response from them about this. Way to do it is use sandboxie and run any program, then you can have 2 merge skins opened. What you can not do though is play on a single table game of any sort, it will not let you because of ip conflictions. Also, you are able to do it, but you are not supposed to play in the same tournament with 2 accounts at the same time, that you will get in trouble for. But if you play on 2 accounts, like me, I play our games on PDC and while playing it I play on hero in complete different games, there is no issue when it comes to that.
how you get sandboxie?
here's the link to the download page, I downloaded from the "Sandboxie" button, they give you 3 options to download from, I would always download from the actual site, just in case. When you have it downloaded, you open thed program, there is options you can choose, choose from default box "Run Any Program", than find the program you want to run, than open it, it'll have a hash mark around the title of program running, whenever you have sandboxie open, you know which window it is because # is in front and back of whatever the name is of the program, or web pagde, or anything opened under sandboxie. But like i said, do not play in same games on 2 seperate skins, you will fuck yourself and loose your accounts. Good luck
Sandboxie - Download Sandboxie
Im having trouble...maybe you can clarify...do I need to remove my existing downloads /versions of hero, carbon etc first.? Secondly do I download them from my sandboxed browser(is that when I have the yellow border surrounding the perimeter of my window page? Or do i close my browser and just open the sandboxie program, then do my downloads.....forgive me,yhis is somewhat new for me but would like to play different tournaments at different sites cause they do sometimes overlap in times sometimes....thank you for any help you can give.
ok I think I got it......was able to sandbox carbon, but not hero(dont know why)....but once I sandboxed carbon I was able to just open hero normally.....couldnt do it the other way though by sandboxing hero first, which is ok I guess cause I was able to achieve desired results.....thanks a bunch for the info and help though!!!!
wow very interresting i never knew you can do that
Seems like we have some cheaters in the building
thanks homies!
Some people really are just dubn enough to try this. While it is possible its a very very very ignorant thing to do if you are trying to make any real money on the merge network. Pokerstars could look at your desktop while you were playing to make sure everything was kosher why cant merge do the same. get another ip address if you really wanna play multis
shouldnt be aloud period.
has nothing to do with cheating, if you read the rest of what i worte, you would see that i said i emailed merge support and was given the green light as long as you did it within their guidelines, don't throw darts if you don't even own a dartboard Nicholas. Also Tp3rd, you can only sandboxie one instance of merge skins, since it is essentially the same program, you can only run one merge skin sandboxed at a time, but you can run a seperate merge skin normally, giving you 2 running at one time.
its a tricky situation if you ask me, coming from my support source they advise against and dont want you to do this to prevent multiacct#s, cheating and collusion..if billy got the ok, the best advice is each person get the ok and keep the emails for your records or take a chance on geting ban..gl
If it was legal, why can't you just open both site regularly.
There are a lot of reason to be able to do this that have nothing what so ever to do with cheating. Would recommend taking the same steps the other poster did and get written confirmation before doing so. Many reside in same home and this allows them access to seperate games under the same ISP service. I would liked to play a few different private forum games on different skins that are not possible through there software security. Wouldn't consider this cheating, would you?
Cannot play at the same time, but can have accounts at different sites.
Lol, its not cheating playing at two different sites. But it would be illegal to play in a single table tournament or at a cash table at once lol. its a pretty cool program though specially if you have two private tournaments at the same time at a conflicting site. I was wondering though if sandboxie would work for taking surveys that you have allready taken or is that not allowed?
but yeah, gametime brought up a good point imo, get the ok and save the email just in case, i saved mine in a poker related folder in my yahoo, i would advise the same as well, i am sure it is fine for all, but i didn't ask for all, i asked for me, not saying i am special, cause i am not, but i got the ok, but i am no rep for merge by any means. so yeah, if you do it, maybe it'd be best if you write and get confirmation yourself, cover your ass.
I bet merge owes most of these players on po something from somewhere. Ya That!
I am finding sandbox one complicated thing but im sure if i understand it wud be helpful dnt think i wud need to understand it i dont even understand the phrase sandbox all i know it was a pretty cool map on halo 3
Security function in the software. Same way other sites monitor ISP for tournament entry. This network just happens to offer the same games on different clients. You could not play UB and AP in same way because of security. This doesn't mean its wrong to inquiry about a legitimate concern to be able to use the site in a way that prohibits someone from using multi-accounts or collusion within the same household.
All you are doing, is trying to play more than one event at a time. Would be like playing a tournament on Cake and PokerStars at the same time. They are different tournaments running at the same time. If they don't offer all games (most private forum games are exclusive to that poker site) you are unable to play them based on the security software. It doesn't make it wrong. From what I have read the red flags are the ISP checks. Way the software is written, there is less of these flags, based on the way the software functions.
