Does anyone believe Pokerstars will be Americanized again?
god i hope so , there are so many tourneys on that site i want to play.
It will be 100% when online poker becomes legalized, as will PartyPoker. The question is when will online poker be legalized in America? Could be a year or two from now.
in few years 100%
yes i believe they will but likely take some time for that to happen but it should happen stars is big enough to make a deal with the usa
i don't know if i can wait 2 years haha pokerstars is sick!
Could be at least 2 years, if not longer. I don't see online poker being legalized in the next year because of the presidential election.
I don't see it coming about. but I could be wrong...hope I am ...
they need to hurry up lol im having stars withdrawls
that is great news for the online poker world in my opinion.
is the old one any faster than 2,0 i cant do anything else when i have 2.0 open
sont think so, Pokerstars has enough traffic I guess
Stars will come back to the usa some way some how. the united states has to many online players for them not to. i am fairly sure that american players were a pretty substantial part of stars and every sites business.
Maybe, one day. But I gues it will take a lot more time...
I hope no LOL we got enough Russians
Stars has more traffic now than they did before that fatal day. There are from 160000 up 200000 players online at any given time now, but I think that the way that they settled with the DOJ, they will be allowed back in the US as soon as the government gets off their ass and makes it legal.
I think when they make it legal it ill be for usa sites - not them - it will probably be banks allow deposits only into usa accounts and will not allow transfer internationally - that would be the wise thing to do - they r working on it
Maybe not for pokerstars but it could be sooner then we think check this out!!

Nevada Online Poker Bill Passes Full Senate
Monday was not only Memorial Day but also a very special day for Assembly Bill 258. That is the bill, by the way, that will give Nevada the go ahead to create an infrastructure for intrastate online poker. The bill has previously passed the Assembly and the Senate Judiciary Committee unanimously in both cases. The full Senate vote was what made Monday so special. The bill passed.
However, its passing was not unanimous this time; the vote was 19-2. The two who voted against the bill were two Republican senators, Barbara Cegavske and Elizabeth Halseth. Both Republican senators are from Las Vegas. I am not sure why they voted against the bill. After all, Las Vegas casinos are on board with the bill as a way to improve revenue for them since licenses would have to be tied to their operations. On the other hand both senators are Republicans who are notorious for being steadfast opponents to all forms of online gambling; they may both be with the Conservative movement. But that is just speculation since their reasons for voting nay were not disclosed.
At this point the bill will return to the Nevada assembly so that the Assembly can vote on the amendments made to the bill during its course through the Senate Judiciary Committee and full Senate. If the Assembly is on board with the amendments the bill will move to the governor’s desk. And if it picks up the governor’s signature, Nevada will be the first state to have some form of online gambling.
Granted Washington DC was the first district, but the first state to do so will be a big deal in the online gambling community which has taken a blow with the seizure of thirteen online poker domains. And even if Nevada is the first state to legalize their online poker, they will not put their infrastructure into effect until either the federal government legalizes online gambling or repeals the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA). So if it comes out of the governor’s office with a signature it will be a tiny step forward for online gambling, online casinos and especially online poker in the US.
nice, thanks for the information =) really appreciated.
thank you for this info
hope it gets closer and soon
i am getting bored with so few sites
oohh pokerstar dont like this site
man i sure do hope that in the near future they will allow Americans to play on their site again. that was one of my favorite sites, and the one that i played on the most. they had so many great tournaments all day everyday, so hopefully they will find a way to allow Americans to play there again soon!
i would hope so.
as americans what can we do but hope, but it would benefit usa to get some tax money from po and help our budget..
yeah im predicting a few years still. pokerstars was sick imagine when they allow us back. it will be nuts i bet
I know that the players who were making a living playing on-line at Stars now have or are planning to move out of the U.S. to get back to grinding.
I miss you Pokerstars :(
I hope Pokerstars is legalized for US residents ASAP. I like the big tournaments that they have.
eventually our gov will take their heads out of their ass' and make a deal with stars, think of all the money this country could make from online poker, and since pokerstars was legit and paid all their american players i think the gov will be more willing to let them have americans, shady ass full tilt on the other hand.....
I never played on pokerstars and to be hones i dont like that poker platform .
Pokerstars is rigged. It says so on the internetz.
