Did you use winholdem?
You would need a bot where you could program yourself. I.E. put in what behavior to follow when XYZ happens."And Shepherds we shall be. For thee, my Lord, for thee.
Power hath descended forth from Thy hand. Our feet may swiftly carry out Thy commands.
So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be.
In Nomeni Patri Et Fili Spiritus Sancti."

I think using bots is unfair and shouldn't be allowed.
If your going to set up a poker account, then YOU should play the poker, NOT the bot.

I never did it for a living, it was just fun playing at low stakes. (Especially when the bot actually did something and WON)
"And Shepherds we shall be. For thee, my Lord, for thee.
Power hath descended forth from Thy hand. Our feet may swiftly carry out Thy commands.
So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be.

Not sure of the date on this the post was 10/19/2010 but it give you food for thought.
I just happen to see it while surfing the forums.I know a lot of you play ring games so here's a HU.
An anonymous American gambler has admitted to have won $220,000 using specialized bots on Full Tilt Poker. According to the gambler, the scheme had the nature of a "partnership".
The gambler, known only as "zeko1985", revealed his scam on Twoplustwo.com, declaring that he had won more than $220,000 over the past 30 months using bots to play on Full Tilt Poker.
"zeko1985" showed no sign of repent as he confessed to the extensive use of bots, but claimed that despite being illegal, he did not see using bots as downright cheating.
"I believe botting is a legit form of poker. Although I am not in control at the tables all the time, I have programmed the bot and am therefore responsible for its play" the player stated.
"It's my mind dictating my bots' actions, it's my in-depth poker knowledge, it takes a lot of skill to make winning bots. I should not be banned as it's a form of poker." he added.
According to the declarations, "zeko1985" has had bots running on both Full Tilt Poker and iPoker for more than two and half years. Only recently was he banned from Full Tilt, while he still runs the scheme on the iPoker network.
He was, however, certain that Full Tilt Poker was aware of the bots for a longer while.
"I created a lot of rake for Full Tilt, and I am sure they knew about me long before they bothered banning me, in fact this was why I became slack with the hours I was putting in, I looked at it almost as a partnership" "zeko1985" wrote.
"I am a high volume partner, and botting should be allowed, it's a form of poker at its purest." he concluded.
It is not the first time Full Tilt Poker is the epicenter of a case like "zeko1985"'s.
In 2007, a player named "SukitTrebek" gathered evidence and reported an allegedly extensive use of bots on the site, providing Full Tilt Poker with detailed information about both the bots and the supposed accounts behind them.
After investigating the case, Full Tilt Poker however chose not to take any action, arguing that "the evidence did not warrant the seizure of funds and permanent account closure."
While the use of poker bots is still considered to be strictly illegal by literally all major poker sites, the use of all sorts of advanced poker software is steadily on the rise. This includes poker bot software, which today can be purchased by anyone via a simple Google search.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

yes that's right. this is not a joke.
we need site shills for xisk.net Home.
xisk is a risk clone that ray has been working on in his spare time since 2004. it is arguably the best risk clone in the history of risk clones, bar none. period. case closed.
if you are interested in being a xisk house shill, we will pay you nicely in winholdem subscription time. basically all you need to do is login to xisk, stay logged in and be willing to play games with any visitors and answer any questions they have via the ingame chat. there is no limit to the amount of wh subscription time you can earn. it's based entirely on your active shill time.
if you don't know what a shill is then look here:

I haven't been on forums long & I'm really not verse on phrases, but I guess a Bot is an automated computer software that will play poker hands/games/tourneys for you automatically? I don't mean to sound naive, I have been at tables that players would refer to another as being a bot. How do you really know if it's just a computer generated player? And couldn't you be able to read a computer better than a human? I would think they would be more predictable...(?)

You cant ever tell if the person you are playing is a bot. The pokersites typically can though with their software.
The bots are designed to be erratic so you cant tell.
For now, humans are defeating the bots, but who knows in the future."And Shepherds we shall be. For thee, my Lord, for thee.
Power hath descended forth from Thy hand. Our feet may swiftly carry out Thy commands.
So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be.

Thank you Zab / Ron. In playing the last few days, I have been trying to watch each player & who talks & who doesn't (which may not be relevant, as some just don't chat). But I'm glad you said "irratic", because I think there might have been one on a 1 point game - 20 step 1 tickets. It was either a bot, or a seriously crazy player. Played crazy for about 1/2 the tourney (would go all in almost every hand, but kind of had a rythm), built up big stack then sat out. And never showed or talked - but everyone else was talking, lol. 2 players were saying it was a bot. Guess I'll never know...lol
