I announce utter hatred for merge and it's ridiculously stacked random number generator to lower percentage hands and players with a large chip stack!

I see the same shit happen live too all the time (I've been on both ends of it) so its hard for me to blame it just on Merge..Difference is you see more hands per hour online than live

Go look at some of the hands on the PCA highroller event most of the Ko's were on huge suckouts pretty funny.
Maybe I should just play Blackjack, trololololololololololol.

I guess it's all about winning over time. SO what i'll do for now on is win some pokerowned money, wait till about $10-15 before i gamble it seperately.

Thanks for posting this. I don't play live enough to have a feel for whether you get same type of hands live vs online. Always wanted to hear from someone who plays a lot live to see how they feel about the 2 and 3 outers. Even the little i've played live i've see some crazy stuff. One tournament i saw at least 5 smaller pp's beat larger ones. I was in one tournament, down to 2 tables with nice stack and turn a straight, push and get called by the biggest stack, she had 2 pair, rivers fullhouse. Again I will preach the variance and swings of NL Holdem. Shit happens, you go on long cold streaks. I once lost with quads twice in a matter of 30 minutes on FTP. Was Full Tilt rigged because of this, no. It's poker, it's a game of skill and luck in the short term. If you can't play through swings you won't become a winning player. It's as simple as that
I play live all the time. The same shit happens, it goes both ways. When its against you, its non-stop and feels just like online.
I believe these suckouts or donk calls are base on the many combination of hands that can be made vs the willingess of the poker player to play these hands and all these so call poker books on how to play poker lead to the suckouts. the volume of hands you see online increases the amt of suckouts you will see as well...you will have a player with aa vs qj suited which is not a bad hand, say the person with aa raises a small raise and the qj calls and the brd comes qj5..now the aces shove and the guy with qj will call, now is this a donk call..dont get me wrong as well, the younger generation as well have change the poker game too with their manic bluffs and wannabe doyle brunson with their 10/2 raises.. who knows the days, take a day off or two if needed and start over refresh..gl
still Merge and the gaming commission refuse to show the certificate they supposedly receive after their games have been tested for fairness and randomness, while I have been shown such a certificate in the past from two different sites in the past 3 years,namely Playerscardroom and Bodog.
I agree that it certainly feels that way sometimes, but it happens live too.
OP: Number of tracked hands really high enough to run present a statistical significant pattern ?
Usually I hear these kind of "it's rigged" remarks from people who have less than 100K hands to show.
Variance is a bitch sometimes - dry spells for weeks are not uncommon....
Problem is there is no variance.....too many river and 1 and two outers hitting at an unrealistic percentage,whether you track 100 hands 1000 hands ,10000 hands . I think Merge thinks it a good idea to promote action, and this is a way to do it,but its getting ridiculous,especially for high stakes players....

yeah but when a site has it "set up" for max action, thats not cool.. I also used to play 5 nights a week and ive seen some rigged stuff live LOL I have seen dealers who can stack a deck. Overall tho in my experience in live vrs online its a HUGE differnce odds wise.take a 100 hand sample live and online and you will see it too. but there in lies the problem. Live you cant sit with a book and take notes on hands played or beats taken, where as online u can go back thru history, so i dont think any one can really come up with a conclusion of real odds vrs online odds. Online just seems to be more rigged for action and or more players hiding behind the screens playing hands they wouldnt live for fear of being humiliated. I dunno im on the fence on it. Ya know some say you can have long cold runs online but not once on merge has the tables turned to where im on days( or weeks) of good runs and no bad beats but you sure can take days and weeks of bad runs and bad beats... i just dunno SMH
I do notice that the bigger the stack more odds you get to win a pot

I agree with your OP but still believe it has more to do with the numbers .. when i say numbers I mean the number of strong vs weak players on Merge which imo is like 20% strong / 80% weak. Carbon was loaded with weak players when I first played here 5 years ago and is still loaded with weak players now. For those of you who had never played on a Merge client and came from places like tilt, stars and ub where the numbers were more in the range of 80% strong / 20% weak there is an extremely huge difference in the quality of play. Let's not get mixed up in this good poker vs bad poker like i have been so horrible about because the fact is everyone has a different playing style. Anyone who has played on Stars and Tilt had a specific foreigner they knew to watch out for because of their loose aggressive style of play .. i know i did as well as many others. A lot of weak players couldn't make money on sites like Tilt and Stars because of the amazing amount of strong players in everything from the ring games to the sngs and mtts so they migrated to sites like Carbon where they outnumber the strong players and make money off of each other.lol If you take a look around you will notice the only place on Merge that has any real action from any real players who are there to make money is on the ring games. The differences are to outstanding to even try and compare this network to any other.Quote:
