There is a problem with the software and it does not always assign the correct value to the joker. I had a hand with a Joker and a King lose to 2 Jacks and another with two 8s and a joker lose to 2 pair. I have complained to Carbon but have heard nothing back.
The joker is not a completely "wild" card.

The joker can only be used as an ace or to complete a straight, flush, or straight flush, so in your situations it was just a dead card.
Steve - I know that now. Since in most cases its going to be useless when you get one do you keep it?

Drywallman - LOL Ok Playing it as a regular joker. Actually I have noticed that I have beaten a lot of opponents who have hands with a joker in it. They must be overvaluing it too. I guess that's an edge I may now have.

5 card draw on carbon has many fish and all the new players at the joker tables lose alot of money before they figure it out
alot of fish, thhey can draw they always think thier card too. Oh and most of the time they do
Venturing off your usual gameplay will usually fault iin bad thing. Its tougher to profit in something your not as familiar with. stick with what you know
5 card draw was the first poker game I ever played as a kid. It bores me now and joker with special rules....forget it!
